Baba's Easter Talk by Phone - 2001

My respected souls, I am Swami Hariharananda. I was so heartbroken for Jesus. Three days I did not talk; I was only meditating about Jesus. This morning, Easter Sunday, I talked because Jesus has come back.

The Bible tells how Mary walked around inside the vault, and found Jesus' body had vanished. Then she saw somebody, whose face was covered with a cloth, standing outside. She asked him whether he knew that the body of Jesus had been laid there and if he knew where he was now. In response, the man removed the cloth, and she immediately recognized him as Jesus. Then, very rapidly, she touched the knee of Jesus and bowed. Jesus asked her to bring his disciples.

So today is a very happy day, a divine day, because we got back Jesus. It is beyond imagination. Jesus was there, many were happy, and all were taking food with Jesus. Only Thomas did not come. He did not believe that it could be Jesus, because he had seen Jesus on the cross, and did not think that he could return.

And so the next day Jesus went to the house of Thomas and asked, "Why don't you believe this? Place your hand in my wounds, you will see there is no blood." Then Thomas was extremely happy and followed Jesus. Many were with him and they were meditating together, eating together and talking about Reality.

At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus had been invited to a wedding in Cana where there was a great feast. He asked his mother, "Woman," he did not say "mother" - "Woman, is there sufficient wine in the room?"

She replied that there was not. So, he left the feast and found three full jars of water. And he touched the water, immediately transforming it into wine.

In India, Krishna is represented dancing on top of a thousand-headed cobra. This is the story. One day, the young boy Krishna went to a lake occupied by an enormous poisonous snake. Later, people came to look for him but he was nowhere to be found by the lake and they all wondered where he was.

Similarly, on that first Easter Day, they were all searching, worried and sad because Jesus had been nailed to the cross, and his body is kept in the cave. But, as we have seen, they found the body of Jesus was not inside the tomb.

Fix your attention on the top

It is said in Matthew 4:4, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." You cannot see the Supreme Almighty Lord and Jesus who are remaining on the top. So, if you look in the fontanel, there you can see the talk is coming from the Supreme Almighty Lord. In this way, waste time with none but God and time will not be wasted. You will get Him. You require meditation. You require Kriya Yoga technique, because by the five sense organs, you cannot know God. You are to know him.

In the Hatha Yoga Pradipika 4:114 it is written:

yavan naiva pravishati caran maruto madhya marge
yavad bindur na bhavati dridhah prana vata prabandhat
yavad dhyane sahaja sadrisham jayate naiva tattvam
tavaj j'anam vadati tad idam dambha mithya pralapah

This means: "So long your pinpointed attention will not remain in the fontanel inside the top of your head, if the meditation technique is not extremely easy, then this meditation is useless. Breath is life, breath-control is self-control."

You all fix your attention on the top, take a very little breath and search Him inside the head. It is very simple meditation: take the shortest breath (it is easy), calmly watch him on the top. It is said that if you cannot remove all your evils, your wrongs, your immorality and debauchery and your worldly and body sense, you cannot get God-Realization. Kriya Yoga technique is teaching this. Fix your attention on the top, take a very little breath, the shortest breath, and see that the supreme Almighty Lord is remaining. If you place your finger in front of your nostrils, the breath will not come: that type of breath. Extreme simplicity. With the shortest breath you cannot get anger, pride, cruelty, insincerity, hypocrisy, or evil sex. Kriya Yoga is based on the shortest breath. Jesus is there, he is inhaling from the top, with love, love, love, love.

So both inside and out, you have to feel that your whole body is the body of God; it is why you are practicing Kriya Yoga. You cannot get reality by chanting, shouting, or listening to talks, or reading. Fix your attention and take the shortest breath and search Him always on the fontanel, automatically you will hear divine sound and also the more you fix your attention in the fontanel you will see the light, feel the pulsation. Love Him, thank Him, and search Him in your every breath - in your every short breath. In your every action, He is doing work; if he doesn't inhale you cannot do any work. We are teaching kri and ya. Kri means you do your work, any work you are doing, you do it, and watch in the fontanel with shortest breath, then you will get reality, and extreme love.

I told before, and I repeat: unless you are always conscious, in the fontanel and take short breath and search him, you cannot get calmness. Calmness is Godliness. Seclusion is a price of greatness.

In the Bhagavad Gita 2:50 it is said, yogah karmashu kaushalam, "Yoga is technique in action." Kriya Yoga is the technique. Do every work slowly and search Jesus. Everyone is one.

[Baba sings:]

Ishwar allah tere nam, sabko sanmati de bhagwan.
Jo hi ram sho hi rahim. Ram, rahim, jesus, karim. Bhagwan ram rahim.

Everyone is one. God. Watch him in the fontanel, search him with the shortest breath, feel nothingness with love and proceed and practice Kriya. The technique is there. You must follow the technique. You require the finest breath, you require everything to be free of sense of mind, or body. You will only see illumination all over your head and that is the body of the Supreme Almighty Lord. Be very careful, practice Kriya well, take a very little breath, search him the inside the head, then you will see milk white light covering everything with divine sight. Calmly search God in the fontanel and surely you will get God Realization; practice Kriya well.

Practice it in this auspicious moment, now that Jesus has arisen. One of my disciples, Swami Vidyadhishananda, will explain about the technique and you all practice it according to his direction, then you will get reality.

Thank you very much. I want to give my love to everybody. Also I want to bow to you all because the Supreme Almighty Lord is remaining in every human body. It is written in the Bible, Genesis 1:27, "God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them." And in Genesis 2:7, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

I'm giving love and regard and respect. I want to bow you all. Thank you very much. God bless you all. Goodbye.
