It is circulated among all Kriyabans with the permission of revered Gurudev.

My affectionate and Divine Soul,

I remember you often. You have opened a meditation center in Bhawani Patna. Whether you have opened an account or not? In whose name and in which bank the account is opened? What is the account number? All these details you please send to me by registered post.

I will remain here 'til 30th of June. 1 am not telling you to come. Guru is all-pervading. Guru is abiding in every body part of the disciple. Gu means the soul or the invisible body. Ru means the gross visible body. The invisible body, that is soul, is pervading the whole gross visible body.

I am better than before. But I want seclusion. I want silence and solitude. Your faith and devotion is great, you only regulate and manage the organization in that place nicely. Party politics should not enter organization. Remembering and perceiving the Guru all will do their duties with a sense of self-surrender. If anybody has no loyalty for Guru then he cannot improve and cannot be realized. It is mentioned in the scriptures yastu seveta panditam. There is panda brahama gyan in the Guru. The disciple should not keep any complex or self-interest and will work according to the rules of the organization, selflessly maintaining loyalty to the Guru. Then his work will be transformed into worship. I have many disciples there and every one of them has some special quality. If they can do the work for the organization and the Guru selflessly and dedicate their special quality to the Guru's mission, then they can realize the soul day and night. It is the soul, through our inhalation and exhalation, doing all the work. This can be realized effectively.

United we stand, divided we fall. As all together offer flowers with both hands to the Guru, similarly all the board members, even every Kriyaban, will exert together and spread the message of Kriya Yoga among all the persons, then a current of new spiritual life will flow in the universe. I want to emphasize that I am connected with many organizations. I am sorry to tell that there is no amity among them. For this reason there is no rapid spiritual upliftment.

You will mix with all and talk nicely and maintain harmony. Read this letter loudly, so all can hear and will work accordingly. I have created many organizations. There are many meditation centers. In all places I give this advice.

In my life, I have realized that in spite of spiritual practice most people keep and maintain their selfishness. I am always awake to the fact that such selfishness should not remain in the organization.

After the tenure of my life span in this world, who will continue my spiritual mission, I have made that arrangement. So, disciples in all places should be busy with spiritual practice and should make progress. In all his body parts he will always perceive gu and ru. Atma bed guru rekam. The indwelling soul in the body is gu and the body is ru. Perceiving this soul, guru, every person will destroy their sins and defects.

They should give up arrogance, vanity, selfishness, impurities of the mind and greed, and should cultivate sense-control and self-control, power to practice spirituality, should always rest in soul, and should calmly go on doing their duties for the benefit of the universe. They will get friendship, equality, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, love, humility and service. If they will do their works in this manner, then that work will be brahma karma. In the scriptures it is written karma brahmod bhabam biddhi, which means that every work comes from God and Soul.

Lord Chaitanya won many countries by the power of love. Mahatma Gandhi achieved freedom for India by the power of love. But in every person there are two opposing forces. In Bhagavad-Gita 15th. chapter, it is written that in every person there is one down-pulling force and there is one uplifting force. But most people influenced by nature follow the down-pulling force. If they will practice the authentic, original Kriya Yoga sincerely this down-pulling force will disappear. From ignorance one will get knowledge. From untruth one will get truth. In multiplicity, one will perceive unity of the soul. All impurities and sins and all negative powers which obstruct spiritual progress will go away. By this, one can always perceive the living God within and his human life will be blessed.

Sarira khyana bidhwansi kalpanta sthaino gunah. The human body may get destroyed at any time, but if the person will remain in his soul he can realize the living God within himself and the whole world will worship him.

If God is present in living form in every person and keeping him alive by taking inhalation and exhalation, then why should not we perceive Him day and night? Who does everything and gets things done and will not become ever-realized?

This letter of Hariharananda must not be destroyed. Get it xeroxed. Preserve it. Every week before meditation read this letter loudly. One person will read and all will listen. Please send the copies of this letter to Rourkela, Sambalpur, Puri, Calcutta and all other meditation centers.

You please all enjoy my love, best wishes and enjoy blessing of God and Gurus.

Humble HariharanandaChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-22614279469717527422010-01-07T10:37:00.000-08:002010-01-07T10:50:43.462-08:00Fighting with BhishmaA Metaphorical Interpretation of the Mahabharata 's Famous Episode

By Paramahamsa Hariharananda

You are forgetting Him at the top. Don't forget. If you remember Him and touch Him at the fontanel with every breath, this is your liberation. You all are Arjuna, so remain with Krishna at the top in die chariot-cranium, and follow His directions.

You know Bhishma? He never liked Krishna. Bhisma means "firm determination." He was a relative of the Pandavas—their grand-uncle. He was the most formidable warrior of the whole Kuru party. On the day of the fight between Bhishma and Arjuna (Krishna was driving Arjuna's chariot), Bhishma's chariot got stuck in the mud in the middle of the battlefield, so he climbed down to try to lift out the wheel. Then Krishna told Arjuna: "This is the time, go and throw your arrows at him. Pierce him with arrow after arrow in his whole body." So Arjuna threw arrow after arrow, non-stop,and Bhishma fell down on the ground laying on a bed of arrows. Krishna came down from the chariot and walked towards Bhishma with extreme sadness at seeing Bhishma killed. Arjuna was following behind, crying, because Bhishma was his relative. Krishna looked back and told Arjuna "You see, his head is still touching the ground. If you do not throw more arrows to lift his head off the ground, he will never die." So Arjuna threw more arrows to form a cradle under Bhishma's head, and then Bhishma's body was completely above the ground.

He laid there for a short period. Then his mother came. Bhishma had still full consciousness. She said: "Don't you recognize me? You are my eighth issue. I took your seven brothers' with me, but your father King Shantanu did not allow me to bring you. So at present I have come to take you." His mother was Ganga—the Ganges river. There are diree sacred rivers in India—Ganga, Saraswati and Jamuna. Correspondingly, there are three main nadis or astral canals in the human body—the sushumna (Saraswati), ida (Ganga) and pingala (Yamuna). This correspondence is beautifully illustrated in the Jnana Sankalini Tantra verses 11 and 12:

Ida bhagavati ganga pingala yamuna nadi ida pingalayormadhye sushumna ca saraswati

Ida is the divine Ganga river Pingala is the Yamuna In between Ida and Pingala Sushumna is the river Saraswati

Trivent sangamo yatra Tlrtha rajah sa ucyate Tatra sndna prakurvita Sarva papaih pramucyate

The meeting place of these three rivers Is called the holiest place. If one takes a dip there he is free from all sins.

So Ganga took her son on her lap (there was no arrows in the front of his body), and Bhishma became merged with the Ganga.

In each human being there are two bodies—Ham and Sa. Ham is full of delusion, illusion, maya and vanity. Everyone thinks "I am very intelligent." Everyone is saying "There is no God." These are the qualities of Bhishma. The death of Bhishma is the death of the human ego. From top to bottom, the human body is full of delusion, illusion and maya. If you do not throw arrow after arrow whenever you get delusion, your maya and vanity (i.e. Bhishma) will never disappear. Everyone in this world is Bhishma, full of vanity.

Many are teaching many things in the material world for God-Realization. Their body is full of maya and delusion. They speak high of Him. They say "Jesus is coming to me, Ramakrishna is coming to me." It is all propaganda, falsehood, only for name and fame. They have extreme evil in their body—money, sex, food, vanity, ego and yet are claiming "Lahiri Baba is coming to me, Paramahamsa Hariharananda is speaking through me." This is their falsehood. They should practice Kriya Yoga in a lonely place and kill all their negatives, because they are jumping from the frying pan into the fire. They tell many lies to many people, and these people are allured by this big talk. But for God-Realization there is no talk, no sound, no touch sensation, no vanity, no ego, no food, no money.

Your breath is just like an arrow. In every breath if you can touch your Soul, then you are alive. If the breath is not going and touching the seventh story in the fontanel—the Supreme Almighty Father, the real Sun, the real Gayatri, the life of every human being—you are dead. In the Gayatri invocation bhur is in the money centre, bhuvah in the sex centre, svah in the food centre, maha in the heart centre, jana in the throat center, tapa in the pituitary and satya in the fontanel.
You have seven suns in seven centers, and all are activated by the breath. If that type of rogue full of ego practices Kriya Yoga in seclusion in the corner of his own room, and touches the Almighty Father with every breath, his whole body will be free from delusion. There is delusion in Bhishma's whole body; it is why Arjuna is throwing arrow after arrow at him.
If by the practice of Kriya Yoga, without talk, without thought, you can remain in the fontanel and touch Him with a short breath, all your delusions and Bhishma-like ego will disappear. You will feel extreme calmness which is Godliness. You will only perceive the milk-white light and white-horse light and hear the divine sound and God-movement sensation at the top and in the fontanel. It is written in the Bhagavad Gita 1:14. You will see white light all around (the four white horses). The chariot is not on the ground but in the fontanel, where the Almighty Father abides. You are Arjuna, and you too are there. You will feel the God-movement pulsation and get extreme calmness which gives divine sound, Om sound, conch-blowing sound. This is the death of Bhishma. Every egotistical human being is Bhishma.
So you are to throw arrows of breath at your negative qualities.
Anytime a negative comes, throw one short feeble breath to the fon-
tanel, one short breath after another. That you will be victorious over
your negatives, over Bhishma. Your whole body is filled with the army
of the Kauravas—all negatives. So you are to remain near Krishna in
the chariot in the cranium and fight, fight, fight. Don't come down,
always remain on top, on truth, in the fontanel.

1 Ganga's eight sons were the eight Vasus (Celestial Beings, Illuminations): Apa, Dhruva, Soma, Anala, Anila, Dhara, Pratyusa. The latter was also known as Devavrata ("Divine Vow") or Satyavrata ("Vow of Truth"), and later became known as BhishmaChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-34456859305045659392010-01-06T12:51:00.000-08:002010-01-06T13:24:17.211-08:00Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 15 Verse 2Interpretation by Parmahamsa Hariharananda

An excerpt [from] the Bhagavad Gita in the Light of Kriya Yoga: a Rare Metaphorical Explanation - Book 3 by Parmahamsa Hariharananda.

adhaS co 'rdhvam prasrtas tasya Sakha
gunapravrddha visayapravalah adha& ca mulany anusamtatani
karmanubandhlni manusyaloke

Translation
Its branches spread below and above, nourished by the qualities (of nature), with objects of the senses as the sprout/shoots and below, its roots stretch forth in all directions, binding the soul according to the actions performed in the human body.

Metaphorical Interpretation

A tree has branches extending down and branches stretching upward. Man has many dispositions, thoughts and activities reaching down due to rajasic and tamasic qualities. Activities overpowered by money, sex, food, self-arrogance and ego are the qualities associated with the lower four centers in the spine. In addition, people with tamasic qualities do not work and are always slothful by nature; poor and idle, they are not after God.

Some branches extend up. These branches represent the divine qualities which help and enable the person to search the Almighty Lord by practicing Kriya Yoga. Such a person's destiny will then be good. By the virtue of good company, i.e. the guidance of the realized Master, spiritual people search the Almighty Father with a short breath in the fontanel.

What are the roots? Some roots are very deep: inside the brain, there are numerous specialized nerves called neurons which spread like roots in the Soul. These nerves spread from the pituitary to the fontanel. There are also many shallow roots, bringing one down into worldliness.

In the human body, there are twelve pairs of cranial nerves; eleven pairs are inside the head and one pair (the vagus nerves) reaches down the chest and trunk, constantly giving delusion, illusion and error. This is maya. Because of maya, people cannot raise above worldly concerns.

The general tendency of all human beings is to make money, enjoy sexually, eat delicious rich foods, drink wine... in other words to remain in the lower four centers from the coccyx to the dorsal (heart) center. The cervical (fifth) center is the vacuum center. People with love for religion and philosophy remain there.

People who are really spiritual, search Him (the Almighty Father) through the breath, the formless air. The imperishable power of God abides in the fontanel. The body undergoes constant change, but the indwelling Soul does not. Beyond that stage is complete vacuum. This is the formless stage, the state before creation. Through deep meditation, every one must come to this formless stage to get complete realization. Those who are really seeking the indwelling Self come to the company of the realized Master and learn directly through personal contact.

These three types of work come from the three gunas, the qualities of nature. The gunas are elaborately discussed in the two previous chapters (13 and 14). The body-nature is kshetra—the land to be cultivated and maintained to reap the desired harvest. But the general tendency of man is to go downward. For this reason the Lord says: adhas ca mulany anusamtatani

Good company makes one good and bad company, bad. A man inherits the nature of his company. Spiritual people should always seek good company.
This chapter is entitled "Purushottam Yoga", which means the Yoga of the Supreme Self, the contact with the Supreme Almighty Father. How to go to the Supreme Almighty Father? This verse and the previous one clearly explained it.

Each human body is a tree, its root being inside the brain and spreading up to the fontanel. If one can go there, then he will get the formless stage, which brings unity with the Almighty Father. Please see the explanation of the Gita 11:34, where it is clearly explained:

How to get liberation, i.e. the taste of immortality? How to get real peace, bliss and joy?

Those who are searching the imperishable Soul will surely get the formless Almighty Father. There is an invisible formless counterpart for each body part, which will be explained in the following verses.

The Almighty Father is everywhere. His formless presence fills the whole universe. This formless quality pervades the entire human system, from the toes to the top.
A deep desire to know one's Self and sincere meditation are essential for the disciple to receive the teaching and direct touch of the Divine Master, who will help and lead him to perceive the formless God. But one must follow the Master faithfully and practice the technique with love. The technique is essential. Every work is based on a specific technique, and Kriya Yoga is the essence of all techniques.

As the formless God is hiding in the whole body, one must search Him in every body part—in the fingers, nails, everywhere. These are the parts of the body-tree. Those who practice Kriya Yoga can feel in two minutes' time the presence of the formless God in every body part.

In the Vedic Karma Kanda (a.k.a Puja Viddhf), this process is also known as anganyasa and karanyasa, which means to perceive God in the five body parts. Next is matrikanyasa, which means to get calmness and God-perception in the whole body.

Then there is pranayama. But those who busy themselves with formal worship only chant mantras. Only by practicing the Kriya Yoga technique can one feel the God-movement sensation in the 100 body parts immediately or within a short period of time. One can feel and realize the formless God in the whole body.

One will perceive the ceaseless vibration of God, the divine sensation, as long as one's breathing continues. God is not only in the body, He is everywhere. He was before creation. He is in creation. He will be after creation. He can also remain without creation. One cannot see God, touch or drench God, because He is everywhere and formless. But one can realize Him only through practice.

This human body is extremely temporary and may not exist in the next moment. That is why it is called an ashvattha tree. The root of the tree is the Almighty Father, whose presence is more readily perceived inside the brain, in the fontanel. One can feel Him by fixing his attention in the fontanel and searching Him with a short breath. One can hear the "Om" sound constantly and in a variety of ways.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-49700987991773230582010-01-06T12:40:00.000-08:002010-01-06T12:53:42.085-08:00Good Friday and Easter in the Light of Kriya Yoga - 1997
An Easter Message from Paramahamsa Hariharananda

Jesus was the son of God, born in a humble stable. Three wise men came from a great distance to see him, and the baby Jesus lifted his hand and blessed them.

Jesus grew up among the greatest trouble. He had some divine power in him from his infancy. At the age of 12, he left home for the forest to meditate in seclusion. At the age of 30, Jesus came back with full God-power. He healed thousands of diseased persons. He cured many breast cancers among women. One person had been blind from birth—for 41 years. Jesus went to him and spat on the ground. He then took the soft clay from the spot where he spat and placed it over the man's eyes, and told him "Wash your eyes with water, and you will see everything."

In this way, Jesus cured many patients. Many people, especially the elders, the chief priests and the scribes became jealous and decided that they had to kill him, lest their prestige be diminished. They gave money to a man (Judas) who was to remain with Jesus in the room so that Judas may point him out to the soldiers when they came.

They sent the soldiers at night. Jesus was lying down with more than 50 people around him. It was known to Jesus that on that night the soldiers would come and snatch him, and he had already announced that "My enemy is remaining in this room, he will identify me when the soldiers come." But all the people were ready to protect Jesus.

Later, in the dead of night, one soldier bearing arms came and entered the sparsely-lit room. Then Judas stood and pointed out "This is Jesus." The soldier came and tried to snatch Jesus from the room. Peter, a very big, powerful man, was sleeping near his Master, and clasping him. As the soldier tried to grab Jesus, Peter stood up and gave one blow with his sword, cutting off one of the soldier's ears.

All the people could have easily saved Jesus, but Jesus rebuked Peter, saying "Keep your sword inside the sheath. Do not try to keep me here. I want to go with the soldiers. Until they kill me, they will not come to know that I am the king of Kings, that I am the son of God."

They took Jesus. Outside were many people, and they whipped Jesus' whole body with rose thorns. Although his whole body was pricked, he did not shout because Jesus was the son of God. Jesus was then kept in a room, protected by many soldiers.
He was later taken to court, where the judge was expected to sentence him to death. But the judge declared Jesus to be spotless and a divine man, and that he should not be killed. The enemies did not listen and they took Jesus forcibly. They put him in a room and spat on his body, insulting him like anything. But Jesus did not utter any complaint. They forcibly disrobed Jesus and gave him only a short red loin cloth and forced him to lie down on the ground. Many sat on his head, jumping and shouting "King of Kings, king of Kings! Son of God!"

They made a very heavy wooden cross and told Jesus to carry it to the burial ground. Jesus tried but it was so heavy that he failed to carry it all the way. Someone helped Jesus by taking the cross for him, which angered the hostile crowd. Then Jesus was laid over the cross, and they crucified him. On the other side, they made another cross where they crucified the man who had helped Jesus. That man was shouting loudly, but Jesus was not uttering a single word. But when they pricked a nail in his heart, Jesus exclaimed "O Lord God, you have forgotten me!" That was his last word, and the crucifixion was accomplished. This is Good Friday.

Why "Good Friday?" Because Jesus said "Unless they try to kill me, and unless I die, people cannot come to know who I am. I am the deathless child, and within three days the whole world will come to know that I am the immortal soul. I cannot die, because I am the son of God. God cannot die. I am the power of God, the marvelous power of God is activating through me. I am not an ordinary person. All the time I am feeling that the power of God is always with me, and that / cannot do anything. Only God is teaching 'Do no evil, no wrong, no debauchery, no immorality — only love, as you love your own body.'"

During the crucifixion, when Jesus was pricked in the heart with a nail, he transformed his life into the fontanel. Because the heart is not the power of life; the power of life remains in the top. God is inhaling from above, that is why human beings are alive. From that place the heart is activating. But Jesus was the immortal Soul. He transformed his mind from heart to fontanel. They pricked his heart but Jesus was not in the heart. His life was in the fontanel at the top of his head. It is a type of samadhi, a super-stage of samadhi. Then after three days in the cave, Jesus came back from his fontanel into his heart and his whole body. It is why Jesus rose from the cave on the third day. This is Easter.

Before his crucifixion, Jesus had gathered his twelve disciples and taught them everything, explaining that "Unless the enemy kill me, even you cannot come to know that I am the power of God. I advised you all to leave your money and your everything, then you can go to God."

Indian spirituality teaches the same thing. Those who are monks were highly qualified, had extreme talent, and they left everything— money, sex, rich food, anger, pride, religion—only spirituality. Jesus said "You are born of the flesh, so you are after the flesh" (John 3:6) and "Again you are to be born from above through water and Spirit." (John 3:5 and 3:7) "Spirit" means the power of God, the Formless stage, smoky white light, which is all-pervading and remaining in every human being. Spirit cannot be seen, it has no form, but there is an invisible counterpart in our whole body parts. "Water" means love for God. You will see that the whole world is Formless, even the body, and you will be so overpowered with joy.

These two words—water and Spirit —are very important. It means that we all are born from sex joy, but Indian people who take sannyas are also born from above—it is called dvija, "twice-born": once from the mother, another time from the pituitary and fontanel. That is our real birth. Exhalation is our death, inhalation is our birth. So from our birthday there are many births and rebirths, exhalations and inhalations. Through that our cells, atoms, tissues, diaphragm are changing and we go through the ten stages of development.

There are many types of religions, cults, sects, traditions, monastic orders. They all teach by the five sense organs. But Jesus said that you are to be born from above through water and Spirit. In India, it is called sannyas. They put on the colored cloth, they are free from money, free from sex, free from butter and fatty foods (but you are to take soft cheese, fat-free protein—that is spiritual food) as is written in the Bhagavad Gita 17:8.

With a short breath you are to know Him, through water and Spirit. You are to be born from above. Below is the realm of long breaths. Sex enjoyment is activated by a long breath. Anger in the heart—long breath; money—long breath; sleep—long breath. But if you remain above in the pituitary and fontanel, then the breath is very slow, it even ceases altogether.

Jesus was the example to all nations, and example is better than precept. The enemy took Jesus and whipped him with thorn sticks—he did not shout. Jesus was crucified—he did not shout, because Jesus is remaining in the short breath. He is Spirit—the Formless stage. He is free from everything. Jesus touched the breasts of females afflicted with cancer. Jesus never enjoyed sexually, he remained completely free. He was always showing what is the good example.

When Jesus was crucified, the whole day became dark. Rain fell inside the temple—this is the water of God, the love of God shedding blessings on Jesus. There was also an earthquake at that time. Many felt griping pain in the stomach. The dead rose from the graves and stood in front of Jesus, giving love to him. They walked passed him, and there was terror among the enemies. They felt the reality of Jesus, that undoubtedly he was the king of Kings, the son of God. They felt that they had done wrong, but they did it out self-arrogance and a false sense of prestige, because they did not have any power like Jesus. They resented the fact that Jesus' prestige would increase like anything. Although they crucified him, they all felt some calmness in them and sorrow. This is Good Friday, which teaches tolerance to all human beings.

We are all getting so many troubles, and we become perturbed, heart-broken. Jesus was on the cross, he was the example for the whole world. Today several hundred thousands of Hindus are followers of Jesus—it is amazing. Jesus was the incarnation of love. Many look at the cross and get a calm atmosphere at Easter. So every human being should get this calm atmosphere in his life.

The body of Jesus was kept in a cave by his enemies, and the entrance was then closed with stones so that his followers may not come inside. The followers of Jesus removed the stones, entered inside the cave and rubbed oil on the body of Jesus for three days. They had extreme fear because if the enemies came to know, they also would be killed. But they also experienced the living beautiful face of Jesus full of joy, as if he was alive, then they all went back.

On the third day Jesus came out. When Mother Mary Magdalene came and entered the cave, she found that the body of Jesus was gone. As she came out, she saw a man standing still with his face covered. She went to him and asked "Do you know that the body of Jesus is no longer in this cave? Where is it now? I have come to give love to him." Then Jesus removed the cloth that was covering his mouth and said " I am standing here." Mary Magdalene exclaimed "I am so happy to see you here!" She bent down and placed her head on his knees.

Jesus said "Please don't wait, go and inform my disciples to come and fetch me quickly." Mary Magdalene was so happy, she was shouting with joy. Undoubtedly this had been the Good Friday— Jesus was killed but he did not die. She ran and told the disciples. They all quickly came with Mary Magdalene and they took Jesus back with them. Jesus kept his face covered all along the way, because if the enemy saw him, they would torture him again.

His ten followers came to Jesus. They were all happy to see him, but Thomas did not come. Many went to Thomas and told him that Jesus was alive, that he did not die. Still he did not believe it. He said "I saw Jesus on the cross and that he died. He cannot be alive, I don't believe it." The next day Jesus went to Thomas, who was astonished to see Jesus in front of him. Jesus said to him "Why don't you believe? If you do not believe, you cannot get God! Come to me. Place your finger inside my flank. See that hole? There is no blood. I am the son of God. If I am alive again, the whole people of the universe and even my enemies will know who I am."

Jesus was the deathless child of God. His message is as follows: "Everyday you are to be born from above through water and Spirit with a short breath. Everyday day is your death-exhalation. The next moment is your birth-inhalation. This birth and death is constantly going on. Through that you are getting new stages of your life. You are the same human being from your birthday, but you are getting a variety of dispositions. In your every disposition you are to watch me, that I am inhaling through your nose. I am the son of God, I am the power of God. In every breath you watch. You and I are one and always have been one. If you love me, if you seek me in your every breath, you will see your Father sitting in the fontanel. I and my Father are one. So breath and the life of God which is remaining within you are one. In every short breath you love Him. In every breath you watch Him, search Him, be one with Him. Feel that I am your life. I am Jesus, I am the deathless child, I am the example. In every breath if you love me, you will be free like me, all of your lower centers will be free. I am in your pituitary. The more you will give love to Me, the more you will be free. When I was still in my mother's womb, I was already in trouble. Mother did not find any place to give birth to her child. I am not the Bethlehem babe, but the manger's child, and I grew up among the greatest difficulties. King Herod wanted to kill me, but God sent an angel who said to leave the place immediately. So mother took me on her own lap and sat on the mule and went far away.

Throughout my life I got trouble, but it is not trouble. Trouble is not for trouble, it is for God-realization—it is written in every Scripture. So if you remain in the pituitary and search me in every breath, you can remain in the material world and be free. Search me in every breath— I am within you—touch me in every breath and always remain above in the pituitary and fontanel. Always feel that smoky white light everywhere—you are nothing, you are formless, and at every moment you will get love, you will be free from negatives. I did not die—I am the example. Your life will be an example in the whole world. In every breath you will see me and my Father. Father and I are one and always have been one."

This is Easter, Good Friday—no sorrow. You will be crucified many times with many sorrows, but if you tolerate and patiently avoid negatives, if you remain on the top and be reborn from above through water and Spirit - that is your liberation. In everything you are seeing Spirit, the Formless. Love Jesus, love God, love your own body, love your own self at every moment. You are God in human form. If you do not search Him you are foolish. Feel His living presence in every human being. The ultimate goal is milk-white light, the formless stage, no sense of the world, no body sense, no sense of attachment, only love—before creation there was nothing. So you are born for this. Be careful of too much distraction. The world is full of temptation. Try to fight with your cosmic conscious stage: this is smoky-white light and love. Waste time with none but Jesus and God. This is Easter, this is Good Friday.

If you practice Kriya Yoga you can realize Jesus—the example of calmness, of tolerance, who was free from everything, who remained silent even as he was whipped by thorn sticks and crucified. Within three minutes' time Kriya Yoga can give you extreme calmness—you will be free from thought, mind, body sense, world sense, ambition, fear, and anger. By the practice of Kriya Yoga you will only feel the living presence of Jesus who is hiding in your pituitary. And if you can love Jesus, you can go to God in the fontanel—the Formless. Your whole life will be free from chaos, ups and downs, shortcomings. You will only feel that you are fighting with negatives, like Jesus did. That Kriya Yoga will give you reality i.e., the formless stage. Jesus and the Father are one. Everyone in the universe should get calmness. Until you get calmness, you cannot get Godliness. In the poisonous cup if you drink delicious nectar it is death to you. By the practice of Kriya Yoga you can clean your cup which is full of a varieties of poisons. It will be completely cleaned by the practice of Kriya Yoga. Then you can get godhood, because inside the cup there is godhood - nectar. You will only drink God, you will be God.

Every day is Easter, every day is Good Friday to you. You are immortal, the deathless child. Then you will know that Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Daniel, Abraham, Khoda, Allah, Rama, all are one. Without breath, there is nothing. It is why Jesus said "Again you are to be born from above through water and Spirit". It means that you are to remain above, in the pituitary and fontanel. In Kriya Yoga we are teaching this. Then you will get Spirit and water. This is taught by Jesus. Spirit means formless, nothingness, the Supreme Almighty Father in the whole universe. This is snow-white light and love—constant love, constant love. If you love God, then you will get constant love in your life.

Jesus was free; he went in seclusion to the forest from age 12 to 30. Moses was in the desert. Rama was in the forest. Buddha was in forest his whole life. But in Kriya Yoga you are not to go to the forest, but to the fontanel, because that is where the life bird is remaining. He gives the sex sense, but He is free from sex. He is free from money, free from anger, pride, etc. If you know Him, then in a moment's time all your evils will disappear. You will get the formless stage, samadhi stage, because you are Spirit. You will be free from pulse while remaining in your body. This is Kriya Yoga. This is the state of Jesus. He was crucified, but he did not die.

This a rare opportunity, so seize it right now. Waste time with none but God, then time will not be wasted. If you only sit for three minutes you will get extreme calmness. Your poisonous body plate will be cleaned and pure, divine. You will only see in your body-vessel your breath, your life, your Almighty Father who is hiding in the fontanel.

"Start early, drive slowly, and reach safely."

This common road sign found in India carries a deep spiritual connotation. One is to start the spiritual life from an early age, to practice slowly and to progress along the spiritual path. That way, one will surely reach the Divine Goal of Self-realization.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-6862142973288217572010-01-06T12:23:00.000-08:002010-01-06T13:24:54.733-08:00Isa Upanisad [15]By Paramahamsa Hariharananda

hiranmayena patrena satyasyapihitam mukham tat tvam pusann apavrnu satya-dharmaya drstaye

In this famous shloka of the Isha Upanishad the rishi is explaining that almost every human being is engrossed in delusion, illusion, and error, whether he is engrossed in sambhuti or osambhuti, whether he is engrossed in vidya or avidya, whether he is highly religious or only on the way to God.

Most People Are in Non-God State.

People are remaining mostly in a non-God stage. The rishi is telling them, hiranmayena patrena satyasyapihitam mukham. This means that the whole world is covered with hiranmaya patra, or a golden plate. Here the rishi wrote about a golden plate, because it is very costly, dazzling, attractive, and desirable, but the real meaning of the golden plate is delusion, illusion, and error. If you search the mind of every human being, you will see his mind is only absorbed with material things or absorbed in his activities or absorbed in family, wife and children. If he holds a high post, his mind is absorbed in pride, vanity, and self-arrogance. If he is an extreme philosopher, his mind is engrossed with educational ego. He thinks he is very intelligent, and his understanding is above all. Whatever he has understood, he thinks himself highly realized, all-knowing, and the best of other monks. Everywhere we find people's minds absorbed in delusion, illusion and error. A good physical culturist's mind is always full of vanity, as if he is the monarch of all. He surveys the beauty of man or woman, compares his health with that of others, and gets extreme vanity. He feels that the world is within his grip. That is also delusion. People Think They Know, But They Know Not.

No one knows the future, when death will come, when he is to leave the world. Each person is seeing death every day, but he does not feel that he may die just now. That is also delusion (golden plate). So the shloka means God-realization and salvation are covered with this golden plate, that is, the delusion, illusion, and error.

Life is very short, difficulties are many, monks are many. There are innumerable spiritual books. There are many gurus in the world, but there are very few disciples in the world who are true seekers. They should learn the shortcut technique. Madhu-lubdhayatha bhramrapuspat puspantaram vrajetjnana-lubdha tatha sisya guru-gurvantara vrajet. The bee is seeking honey from one flower after another. If it does not get honey immediately, it goes to another flower. Again if it does not get honey, it runs after another flower.

Human Beings Are Born For Self-Realization.

Man is born for Self-realization, and his life is very short. He should not make any delay for his Self-realization. He should go to a realized guru and should meditate nicely according to his guidance. He should get super-consciousness and the practical touch-sensation in the whole body. He should hear the talk of God the whole day. He should see light all over the universe, and he should feel balance of mind by which he can change his nature and character, habits, and behavior. If he does not get all of this, then he should run to another flower. That means he should go to another guru. If he fails to earn extreme calmness, which is godliness, then he should not remain on the same flower. He should change his guru to one from whom he can earn extreme calmness. Human heart, mind, and intellect are always fickle and are absorbed in worldly matters. Guru will transform the disciple's mind into divine consciousness where he will only perceive oneness, divineness, salvation, peace, and joy. In every moment we should ask our conscience whether we are advancing towards the divine goal. God made men with his own image, and He breathed into their nostrils His own breath, and they became human beings. So we should remain always conscious about our delusion and ask our conscience whether we are the image of God, whether God is breathing through our nostrils, and whether we are proceeding quickly towards God or not.

Everyday we chant this mantra from the fifteenth shloka of Isha Upanishad and pray, "O God, won't you remove the golden plate - delusion, illusion, and error, ego attachment, vanity, etc., and always open my third eye by which I will constantly feel that you made me with your own image, so my potency is divine potency, and I will be divine only."

The needle of the compass always points towards the north. Similarly, the compass of my mind is always on the "north," that is, to my pituitary and fontanelle, to His presence. Constantly I will feel that I am fortunate. I am a man in God, God in man.
Tat tvam pusann apavrnu satya-dharmaya drstaye. Here, pusann meansposanat itipusan. This refers to the air, the supra-electronic force of every human being, which is constantly creating, maintaining, and destroying us through our inhalation and exhalation. God is constantly inhaling through our nose, so we are alive. We are growing. We are evolving. Who is growing and evolving and giving divine mood? He is called pusan.

The sun is called pusana. Posanat itipusan. The Soul is abiding in the body. The Soul is also called pusana, because in every moment the Soul is inhaling. Through this we are alive and according to our inhalation and exhalation the Soul is giving us different dispositions. God has created passion, anger, avarice, greed, pride, delusion, illusion, suspicion and so many negative things. He has given this only for our evolution. It is why He has created the whole universe. All matter and objects are also the living presence of the Soul. This is given in the first shloka of Isha Upanishad where it is written, tena tyaktena bhunjitha magridhah kasya svid dhanam.

When you are a baby, you have no youthful stage. When you have attained youthful stage, you are attracted to a youthful girl. You want to marry her. That marriage sense is given by the Soul. God has given the desire for a wife, which is the union of Soul and Soul.

So you should feel that it is the desire of God. You should feel that it is the union of Soul with Soul. If you feel this, then it is your own property. You can remain detached and remember that if there is no inhalation in the wife, you will not touch her. The one Soul is merging with another Soul, and through this you are evolving. "

Ma gridhah kasya svid dhanam. " Passion is your own property. It is given by God, so it is the desire of God. You are not stealing your passion. It is automatically given by God to you, and accordingly you are mixing divinely with God. He is evolving you towards God through your desire. So your Soul is pusana. You will act as God has given you desire. The doer is God.

The sun is also called pusan because the sun is maintaining, growing, developing, and evolving all the food-grains and the human life. All life on earth is alive only due to the sun. If the sun is not in the sky, we cannot see anything. We do not get impetus to do any work. We cannot judge what is right and what is wrong. The sun is revealing everything in the universe.

So the rishi is humbly requesting the Sun, "O living Soul, I feel that you are the only living God in the universe. You are maintaining and evolving me and also you are leading me to the real path. I, therefore, wholeheartedly request: O Sun, please do not lead me in the evil path, the wrong path. You evolve me only by the royal road, so I can feel that you have created me only to perceive Thee and realize Thee within my life-span. You are abiding in every human being as Soul. So everyone should seek Thee within his body and even in the whole universe, because there is nothing in the universe without Thee. I bow to Thee."Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-30593080127147516642010-01-06T12:15:00.000-08:002010-01-06T12:21:58.170-08:00Isa Upanashad [vs16]By Paramahamsa Hariharananda

pusann ekarse yama surya prajapatya vyuha ra$min samuha tejah yat te rupam kalyanatamam tat te paSyami yo 'sav asau purusah so 'ham asmi

Maintaining, Saving, and Growing

"Pushana" comes from "poshanat iti push an". He who is maintaining, saving, and growing is called pushana. The Soul is called pushana and the sun is called pushana—without the sun nothing can be grown, nothing can be evolved, the production of food-grains is not possible. The whole world will become cold and collapse. No one can survive. This is why the rishi is telling the sun and the Soul, "O Lord, you have created this universe in such a way that we are always getting delusion, illusion and error.

(Details about it have been written in the fifteenth shloka.) But here I am requesting, O my Sun, my Soul, to please remove my darkness (delusion) and protect me, lead me, guide me through the royal road, that is my spinal canal, which is the royal road for God-realization, and lead me to the Kingdom of Heaven which is always in me, in my pituitary. You are abiding there. You are unknown, unseen, unmanifested. My humble request: please let me always feel your living presence in my whole body. You have arisen in the sky, so I am seeing everything which is created by You. Please help and lead me nicely by the short-cut path."

"Ekarshe" comes from "eka rishate iti edarshe". It means: "O Lord, divine Sun, the only God of the universe, O my Soul, You are undoubtedly the living Soul, you are undoubtedly the living Soul. You are showing the whole manifestation of creation by which I may be engrossed in the hiranmaya patra, in delusion. Will you kindly give me ekarshe, which means ekagra-gati (single-minded attention on you)? I will not be absorbed in the world. My attention will remain on you because you are the Creator, you are the creation, you are the Savior. Will you kindly lead me with single-minded attention and devotion? Then surely I will get constant salvation and God-realization."

Sense Control

"Yama” comes from "samyama na iti yamah", which refers to sense control. "O Lord, will you not kindly give me sense control? Because in this tempting world you have given many ups and downs, pitfalls and shortcomings. So if you kindly control my five sense-telephones and make me introverted and keep my mind always in you, then by your grace surely I can get sense control and I can perceive that You are the only doer, and You can lead me to the divine goal."

"Surya" comes from "shubhati karmasu iti surya". This means: "O Lord, O Sun (Soul), you are giving many activities in every human being. You are giving visual work in the mind, but you are the Sun, you are the light. Will you kindly show me your light on the good path, not the evil path, by which I can perceive that You are the only actor in
me?”

Seven Lokas

In the spine there are seven lokas: bhu loka in the coccygeal center, bhuvar loka in the sex or life center, pranamaya-kosha, wherefrom human beings are born; svar loka in the lumbar, navel, or food center, maha loka in the heart center which is giving delusion, illusion and error; jana loka in the cervical center at the back of the neck; tapo loka in the medulla oblongata or Christ center, which is the divine kingdom, where the Soul is sitting on the golden throne; and, satya loka, which is remaining between the pituitary and the fontanel and which is called the seventh heaven.

"Surya" refers to "lokanprerayat". This means, "O Soul (Sun), will you kindly send me from the lower center, visual center to satya loka, where I can perceive that You and I are one and always have been
one?”

"Prajapatya" conies from prajani shakti yat tat prajapatye". This means: "You are giving birth to the human being." All matter in the universe—that is the general meaning of prajapatya. Any newborn being is called prajapatya. But the real meaning ok prajapatya is this: "My whole body is the uterus and as a Soul you are giving birth to everything in my whole body. I am talking, O Soul, this is your offspring, You are talking through my mouth. I cannot see, You are opening my eyes. I am seeing You. Hearing, touch sensation, smelling, everything is born through You. They are your children. Any work that is accomplished by me, You have given me the sensation to do it. You have given birth to the thoughts in the brain and accordingly you are doing work in my whole system."

This is real prajapatya. "O Soul (Sun), through my every expression you are coming out. You are the issue. You are giving birth to that disposition, and accordingly you are doing that same work." That is the real meaning of prajapatya.

"Vyuha rasmin samuha teja" means: "O Lord, You are giving both virulent vanity and divine propensities to every human being. My Reverend Soul, if you force me in the evil propensities, I am undone. But I am keeping my third eye always on You. Will you kindly give me good propensities, by which I can fulfill my human life? Because I am born only to perceive Thee, who art constantly inhaling through me and changing my inhalation from one disposition to another."

"Yat te rupam kalyanatamam tat te pashyami" means: "O Lord, will You kindly balance my inhalation? Will you kindly remove my mind, thoughts, sorrows and anxieties? Will You give me calmness and super-consciousness, by which I will always remain not in viciousness but in divinity and awareness of the inner Self? So I can perceive Thee, I can conceive Thee and I can realize Thee."

"Yo'sav asaupurushah so ham asmi" means: "The Soul who is abiding in the sky as the Sun; the Soul, who has graciously entered into every human being, who is graciously inhaling through me; it is only You. O my indwelling Father, I always feel your presence in my indwelling Self, I bow to Thee a thousand times.”Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-23312734526049602762010-01-06T10:38:00.000-08:002010-01-06T10:41:31.521-08:00Jack of All Trades, Master of NoneA story narrated by Swami Shriyukteshwar:

The ordinary human mind is crazy. Man wants to know many things and to practice many techniques. But one must ponder the saying:

One thing at a time and that done well is a very good thing as many can tell.

But many people are not satisfied with that. They go to different teachers and practice different techniques. As a result, their mind becomes more confused: which one is better, which one is not? A confused mind is far from the truth. Truth is revealed to a person whose mind is tranquil. Faithfulness to one's own Master and sincerity in the practice of the technique bring quick spiritual progress. To highlight this, the great Master Swami Shriyukteshwar used this parable:

Once upon a time lived a fox and a cat near a forest. Both were very close friends. They occasionally met each other and discussed their life and activities.
One day both were sitting together and were talking about the art of self-preservation. The fox asked the cat "My friend! How many techniques have you mastered to save yourself at the time of danger?"

The cat answered "My brother! I know only one technique—the art of climbing up a tree when I sense some approaching danger."

The fox said in a deprecating manner "Ah! You know only one technique. Really your life is miserable. You do not know any other technique beside climbing up a tree?"

The cat asked "My friend! How many techniques, really, do you know?"

The fox replied "It is a long story. Please wait. I will bring my note book, in which I have written down all the techniques that I learned from different teachers at different times, to save myself in different situations." The fox brought a big thick notebook and opened it with a lot of pride. It said "I can run when the problem comes." Opening another page, "I can hide myself in a bush." he continued, "I can enter into a hole and protect myself." Opening every page, the fox was narrating different techniques with vanity and pride.

While both were talking, a dog came running towards them from a little distance. The cat exclaimed "My brother! Be careful; a dog is coming!" Warned by the cat, our poor fox kept turning the pages of his notebook while thinking what would be the best technique to save his life. The cat called out "Brother! I do not know many techniques. I only know one technique, and that is to climb up the tree. The dog cannot come there."

The cat dashed up the tree. Despite his so-called intelligence, the foolish fox was not able to decide what to do. The dog was getting very near and the fox was in trouble, while the cat was saying "mew! mew!" from the tree top.

This story exemplifies human psychology. Man wants to learn many techniques, but is not satisfied with a particular process. This is the trick of the mind to deceive man.

Once you are in touch with a Divine Master, follow Him faithfully, with love. That technique will enable you to cross the problems of life and help you to be realized.
Referring to this situation, Shri Gurudev comments:

If a student goes each day to a different school, can he get education? Please follow
that technique which will give you simultaneous development of body, mind, intellect and soul. Please practice sincerely. Human life is very short. Why do you spend your valuable time, unnecessarily by going to many teachers, but learning nothing? Practice one technique, and be perfect.

*May 10, is the Holy Birthday of Swami Shriyukteswar Giri Mahasaya.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-1949655491081697592010-01-04T16:08:00.000-08:002010-01-06T11:47:57.919-08:00Strike at the Imperishable Truth!Mundaka Upanishad 2:2:4

Interpretation: Paramahamsa Hariharananda

Pranava dhanuh, sarahi esa atma Brahman tad lakhyam ucyate

Om is the bow; the soul is the arrow; and Brahman is its target. It is to be hit by an unerring man. One should become one with it just like an arrow.

You are only magnetizing your spine, bending it on the ground, and it is just like a bow. Then with a short breath, you are throwing the arrow. The breath is going just like an arrow, touching the Almighty Father Who is remaining in the fontanelle. He is the Supreme Almighty Father. Only your breath is going and touching Him by the practice of Kriya Yoga. In your every breath if you watch Him and touch Him in the fontanelle, then all your evils in your body will disappear. These are represented by all the arrows you are throwing at people all the time (at that time there was no gun). So this is pranava dhanuh, and sarahi esa atma.

And Brahman tad lakhyam ucyate means that it cannot be perceived by the five sense organs, it can only be perceived by the atom. So by the atom, in every breath it is going and touching the Almighty Father, so your mind is fixed and you are watching whether in every breath you are feeling heaviness in the fontanelle. You should not talk -dead in your mind, past the intellect and ego. You are magnetizing your spine, so you are getting a new type of circulation in your whole body. Scientifically speaking, you are giving pressure over the liver, so bile is produced. And you are applying pressure over the kidneys, spleen, ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, sigmoid colon... you are giving pressure everywhere, so you will be free from diseases.

Strike Beyond Delusion.

You have no delusion. You are throwing one arrow, you are touching the Almighty Father, and you are only absorbed in Him in every breath, you are the Almighty Lord. And you do not have anything of the world -the whole thing of the body, all evils, all wrongs, all immorality, and all debauchery will disappear. You will not even feel any body part. If you watch all the people of the world what they are doing, they are doing it by the five sense organs... but this is not bad.

You are going there, and calmly you are sitting. You are free from thought, mind. You are a person of meditation. You have no desire. In every breath you are feeling your all-evolution. You are not in rajaguna activity, you are free. You are spiritual. You are constantly absorbed in the Almighty Father. The whole day and night, you watch your breath, and in every breath you watch Him, and love Him, and thank Him, with a short breath. As the arrow is going and touching the evil person, similarly, the breath is going, just like an arrow, and it is touching the Almighty Father.

Feel His Presence.

You are getting a little presence of the Almighty. You are getting the Formless. Even in only two minutes' time, three minutes' time. You are hearing the Divine Sound, you are getting the God-movement sensation in the whole body - all the time it is moving from top to bottom, in the hundred body-parts. So you are feeling the Almighty Father. He is the King of Kings, and He is abiding within you. In your every breath you are feeling Him, then you will never get any negative habit. You will feel that every man is the living power of God. Wherever he casts his eyes, he is perceiving that the Almighty Father is there.

So if you calmly practice this Kriya in the bowing posture, and you throw one arrow after another, in every breath, then you will be free from desire. Your mind will be free. It is the enemy. Your anger will disappear. You will get nothingness. You will get only Godhood. It is
extreme pleasure. It is your liberation. In this way, the whole day and night, through your every activity, you watch your short breath. And then you are compassionately detached. As the drunkard drinks wine and does not know what he is doing, similarly, you will remain detached, you will remain in God, you will feel that you are free from the whole universe. So this is the explanation of the Mundaka Upanishad chapter 2, part 2, verse 4.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-44988141715248178012010-01-04T15:49:00.000-08:002010-01-04T15:58:21.361-08:00The Body's Fifty Seed-SyllablesBy Paramahamsa Hariharananda

Vacuum center (16 letters)

There are sixteen letters in the sixteen-petal lotus in the face: ang, aang, ing, iing, ung, uung, ring, rring, ling, lling, eng, aing, oing, oung, aung, ah.

Air center (12 letters)

Starting on the left-hand side: kong, collar bone. Khong, next bone. Gong, third bone. Then ghong, wong. Then chong, on the right side. Then chbong, Jong, jhong, neong, tong, thang. This is the twelve-petal lotus. It is called ka-tha. The beginning letter is ka, and last is thang.

Fire center (10 letters)

It starts on the left-hand side of the liver at the stomach. Just under the sixth rib, then below. Dong, dhong, nong, tong, thong, dong, dhong, nong, pong, phong. This is da-pha. You say da first, and last letter is phong. This is the ten-petal lotus in the stomach area.

Water center (6 letters)

It starts with bong, above the sex. Then bhong, by the side of the sex, mong, below the sex.

Then on the right-hand side: Jong, rang, long. It is in the sex center, a six-petal lotus. These make two "Vs. One bracket and another bracket forming a triangular bracket. The female triangle is flat at the top, and pointed down. And the male triangle is flat on the bottom, and pointed at the top. Assemble them together, and it makes a six-petal lotus. This is ba-la, at the sex center.

Earth center (4 letters)

Then there is the coccygeal center, in the area of the four last vertebrae. The letters are vong, shhong, shong, and sa. Vong, on the left hand-side. Then below, if you place your middle finger on the left hand-side joint, this is vong, and at the last vertebra, this is shhong. Ta-la-ba means that the tip is touching on the palate. The upper portion of the tongue. It is called (ta-la-b a) shhong, which means shanti, peace. Then shong. murta, shantosh. Shantosh means contentment. And, last is (don-ta) sha. Don-ta is the tip, it is touching the teeth. When you say don-ta, then the tongue is touching the upper and lower teeth. Don-ta-sha is shantosh - contentment.

Soul center (2 letters)

Now you are coming to the pituitary. It is ham and Sa. Sa is in the front side, towards the forehead, in the fontanelle. Focus your attention in the fontanelle, a little forward, overhead, just like on the top of an egg. The front side is Sa: this is Krishna. And the back side is ham: Arjuna.

So Krishna was sitting and driving the chariot in the front. Generally people misunderstand where is ham sa. They say it is on the left and right of the forehead: no! It is in a straight line. So I am telling that Krishna is driving the car, and Arjuna is sitting behind him. He is not willing to fight. He is pressing his hand, and Krishna is saying to him, "You please listen to Me, and do as I say: you are to fight with your evils." Krishna is sitting in the front; this is Sa. And Arjuna is sitting behind; this is ham. Everyone is Arjuna.

In many books, they are wrong! It is shown that Sa is on the right side and ham is on the left side. They cannot draw it, because then it would overlap. So in the left they put Sa, because you write from left to right, then they write ham on the right. But it is wrong! The head is like an oval egg - at the top, the front side is a little smaller, and the back side is a little bigger. Similarly the front side is Sa, and the back side is ham.

The seed syllables within each chakra

Yong is the air element, in the heart. Rang is the fire in the stomach. Vong is the water in the sex center. Long is the earth, in the moneycenter. And shhong is in the fifth center, but everyone is telling it is in the top. No, it is in the fifth center, in the vacuum center. The seed of
vacuum is shhong.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-62927989195544541642009-12-02T10:07:00.000-08:002009-12-02T10:08:46.578-08:00THE SYMBOL OF KRIYA YOGABy Paramahamsa Hariharananda

The meaning of the Kriya Yoga symbol is: the two brackets represent the two eyebrows. And above them in the middle, there is just like an eye; this is the third eye, in the pituitary. If you remain above the eyebrows, and keep your attention above the pituitary, that is the only way to reach God. If you fix your attention above the pituitary, above the two eyebrows, and calmly remain there with a short breath, then in your every breath you will get God-realization. Your mind will remain in the third eye, then although you are doing material work, you will feel that "I am not doing the work, work is coming from the pituitary."

But this Kriya Yoga symbol means that Truth is not below the eyebrow, not in the material world; spiritual work is only there, above the eyebrows, with the short breath. You are to watch your every breath and feel "O my Almighty Father, You are so kind to me, you have given me extreme power".

So in every breath you should give love to Him, because you are doing work. You have some experience about it. So you love God. So in every moment you love God, thank God that you are still alive. I am also still alive, at my age of 89. I am talking with you with the finest brain. So if you practice Kriya Yoga you will live long, you will eat moderate food, and you will have everything. This is the place, above the eyebrows, where you can get God-realization. Then, you are to go to the fontanelle, where is the Supreme Almighty Father, Who is above the gross body, perishable body, above the imperishable body also - He is the Supreme Almighty Lord, All-Pervading, Formless and Omniscient and everywhere. He is remaining compassionately detached everywhere, but He is helping the people to do the work.
Thank you very much. I want to bow all human beings. God.

God is remaining detached. As the sun rises and remains detached while activating every work in the world, similarly the Soul is remaining detached. The Imperishable power of God, the Formless, is remaining compassionately detached in the pituitary and is helping you. If you go and stand in front of the mirror and show your hand, the mirror will show the hand. Then if you leave, no impression will remain in the mirror.

And if a second person comes and stands in front of the same mirror, no impression of the first person remains in the mirror. Similarly, this is the third eye where you are fixing your attention.

This is the place I am talking from; I am thinking "This is not talked by me, it is my indwelling Self Who is remaining in the third eye." He allows me to provide answers to questions. According to your question, I am giving the answer. This is called spiritual talk. Similarly, those who do material work and have ambition to earn money, huge

If you feel some heat,
you can understand
the fire is very near.
Similarly, if you perceive
the Divine sound,
Divine Light
and Divine vibration,
then you are very near
the power of God.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-66875934187466336462009-12-02T10:01:00.000-08:002009-12-02T10:06:16.379-08:00THE WAY TO CALMNESSParts of this message was addressed by Paramahamsa Hariharananda to the delegates attending the First International Kriya Yoga Seminar in Spietz, Switzerland. May 7-14, 1994

O God, O God, O God, I am so happy, so happy, so happy. I have reached Switzerland and seen the power of God here. John wrote in the Bible "Blessed are they who come in the name of God." So you all are blessed, you have come from a long distance. But how will you be blessed? If you do not know thyself, you cannot know God.

Where is God? I am telling that God is all-pervading, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent. So when He is all-pervading, He is also remaining in your whole system.

In the Bible, Matthew 4:4, it said that "your mouth is not made for bread only, but the words that proceed from your mouth is the talk of God." So you should know that you are not talking. From your birthday, the power of God is inhaling. It is written in Genesis 1:27 and 2:7, "He made man and woman in His own image, and He breathed into the nostrils the breath of His life and He became the living Soul in the whole universe."

The Kingdom of God is at Your Hand.

The marvelous power of God is remaining in your whole body, but you are ignoring it. So you are not able to know; you are in delusion, illusion and error. Jesus also said "Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at your hand. "What is hand? It means you should meditate, then you will get God-realization. It is at your hand. Also, it is written in Matthew 6:22-23, "The light of your body is your eyes. If therefore thine eye be single, the whole body shall be full of light. If therefore thine eye be evil, then thy whole body shall be full of darkness."

All the persons who have come here - you are the living power of God. Just take a rusty wire and plug it, immediately you will see the marvelous current is in the rusty wire. Your whole body is the body of God but you do not feel it. Because many are teaching many things and practicing them yet are not getting calmness. But the authentic, original Kriya Yoga technique taught by Lahiri Baba, Swami Shriyukteshwarji, who also taught me, I taught that very thing to Rajarshi Peterananda and some other authorized Yogacharyas. They know the same technique and nobody else knows that technique, so you can learn from him. Kriya Yoga is the stepping stone of all religions. As you climb up on the seven-storied building, you are to climb up with every step. So we will teach you how, within three minutes' time, to purify your body. Kriya Yoga is the highway of common religion. What is the highway of common religion? Calmness.

Get His Calmness.

How you will get that calmness? You are to come to the touch of Rajarshi Peterananda and Swami Hariharananda, who will purify your body. In your body there are 108 body parts. We will purify them, and within three minutes' time we can give you divine sound. Then the whole body and 108 body parts and divine light will be in the whole body, and divine movement sensation of God in your whole system.

What makes it move? God, Who is inhaling since your birthday. It is written in Genesis that He is inhaling from your birthday but you are not seeking Him. You are fortunate that you all have come here, now we will teach you how to get that calmness. It is also written in Mark 8:36: "Ifyou gain the whole world and lose your own Self, then what is your life? What is your profit?" You are God in human being, you are born to perceive God, to conceive God and to realize God. In your whole system, wherever I am touching, I am touching the power of God. But you are not feeling it. Why you are not perceiving? Because of maya, kundalini.

What is that kundalini! Kundalini is remaining inside your brain. On the back side of your head, there is the occipital bone. Below the occipital bone there are two cracks, two sharp holes. From that place 11 pairs of cranial nerves are entering. Six pairs remain in the upper mid-brain, and six pairs remain in the lower midbrain. So you are forgetting that you are God. You are busy with eating, drinking and being merry. Undoubtedly, you are to eat and drink and be merry. But without breath you cannot do it. So you should know Kriya Yoga. Kriya Yoga will teach you how to get merrymaking joy. God is within you, and He has given joy in your five sense-organs. But you do not feel that it is God's joy. He is constantly inhaling through your nose, He is evolving you for your God-realization.

The 18th Century English poet Alexander Pope said:
Know thyself, presume not God to scan The proper study of mankind is man.
What is the proper study of mankind? To know oneself. Know thyself. Presume not God to scan. How you will know? By coming to the proper person who will remove all your negativity. Your divine kingdom is inside the cranium. And one pair of vagus nerves is coming down in the whole body. That is your kundalini, maya. Pindam kundalini shaktim. Mula-padme kundalini yavat nidra-yata prabhuh tavat kinchid na sidhyate tantra-mantra archanadikam.

The power of God is inhaling at the top of your head, so you are to fix your attention in that place. And if you magnetize your spine, with a short breath, then automatically you get extreme calmness. You will be free from your body-sense and free from worldly sense. You only hear divine sound in the whole world. Your body is full of maya and delusion, full of evils. But that evil will disappear if you turn on the switch. You will see that the whole room is God in a moment's time.

Learn How to Turn the Switch On.

You should know how to turn the switch on. You have two bodies: one is Sa and the other is ham. Sa is hiding in the divine kingdom. He is inhaling constantly. This is your life. If He doesn't inhale, then you will die immediately. So you should not die. You are not born for death. You are born for immortality. You are God in human being. Any work you do is done by the power of God. You may be rich, you may be poor, you may be a scientist, you may be a business person, no matter. Any work you do is done through the agency of the breath. That breath is the inhalation activated by the power of God from the fontanel.

If you practice this technique, only for five minutes' time, then you can get extreme calmness, which is Godliness.

[Baba sings:]
Authentic Kriya Yoga is the stepping stone of all religion. Without this no one can stop his worldly sense. Without this no one can stop his worldly sense. Kriya Yoga, in three minutes' time, can give you divine calmness.
Within three minutes' time,
You can get divine movement sensation, sound and light.
Kri means do your work, Ya means your indwelling Self. Kri means do your work, Ya means your indwelling Self.

Kri means do your work; any work you do, that is kri. And who is doing that work? Your indwelling Self Who is inhaling from above. Any work you do, that work is done by Him. If you feel it, then you will remain in the material world and will get God-realization. That is your spiritual world. It is why you are coming here. If you only hear our words, then you cannot profit from it. You have come and are staying here the whole day and night, so you should only say to Peterananda Rajarshi "Please teach us Kriya Yoga."

Meditate, Meditate, and Meditate.

You constantly meditate for seven days. You have left everything, you have spent money, so you meditate and meditate and meditate. One day surely you will behold the divine goal. Just now! We can purify you. You will be free. I am telling that Kriya Yoga is the highway of common religion.

Kriya Yoga will give liberation in a short period. The only star of God. If you turn on the switch, you will see that the whole room, the body-room, is lighted. Then you will feel that your skin, your flesh, your diaphragm, your cells, atoms, tissues, your whole body do not belong to you. They belong to the Almighty Father. So, kindly meditate and meditate and meditate. Just now, for seven days you have come. You have come from a long distance. You all sit, don't make any amusements for seven days. Only you tell Rajarshi Peterananda, "Give us divine vibration, divine sound, divine light, give us extreme calmness." Then you will gain in seven days' time, you will earn. That will be your asset.

You can practice this for five-six minutes, the whole day and night, your whole life; you will feel that you are God in human being and human being in God. I want to bow you all. Yoga karma sukausalam. Only the technique will enable you. Sarva roga upasamam. Your diseases will all disappear. Jathamgni vibhardanam. You will get extreme appetite. Babusakantim amalam. You will get beautiful, lustrous body. You see Hariharananda: he is eighty-six, he is so old, but still his body is just like that of a young man. And why? Because he practices Kriya Yoga.

You should not just believe it. Your Guru will be your own Guru if you have taken initiation from any other person. No matter. But you
should practice the technique. Kriya Yoga will cultivate the body land. It is also said in the Bible that you should cultivate the body land. Then you can get a good harvest. One land is well cultivated so the farmer gets a good harvest. Another land is just medium cultivated, so they get a medium harvest. And this land is not cultivated. It is written in the Bible - Jesus used a parable to say that you should learn how to cultivate your body land.

[Next Baba sings a Bengali song by Ramprasad: "O Mind You Do Not Know How To Farm. "]
Ramprasad is a very realized person. He said, "You do not know how to cultivate your body land." If you cultivate your body land, then you will get extreme calmness. Then you will feel the power of God. The power of God is always remaining within you. You will see you are God in human being and human being in God.

Thank you very much. I want to bow you all.

Do not carry the cross on your chest and the devil on your backChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-61306757711122675682009-12-01T14:56:00.000-08:002009-12-01T14:58:46.199-08:00Young Shankara Defeats the Old ScholarBy Parmahamsa Hariharananda

Shankara was an extremely spiritual person, working day and night but never forgetting Him. By the age of 16 he had taken sannyas and was roaming all over India and founding ashrams in the four corners of India. At that time there was no plane, no train, no car, just bullock carts. So Shankara materialized four bodies and founded four maths (monasteries) simultaneously in the four corners of India - Sringeri in the South, Badrinatha in the North, Dwaraka in the West and Puri in the East. He entered mahasamadhi at the age of 32.

Once he went to debate a great scholar whose name was Mandana Mishra. It was decided that if Shankara won the debate, Mandana Mishra would renounce the world and become a sannyasin, and that if Mandana Mishra won, Shankara would renounce his monkhood and become a householder. The debate went on for several days and it appeared as if Shankara was winning. When Ubhay Bharati, Mandana Mishra's wife, saw that her husband was about to lose and have to renounce marital life, she requested Shankara to answer her questions as well before deciding who the winner would be. Shankara agreed. She asked "What are the various forms and expressions of love? What is the nature of sexual love? What is the effect of the waxing and waning moons on sex urge in men and women?" Shankara, being a young boy of 18 and a celibate monk, was not prepared for this kind of question, so he asked for some time before giving an answer, which was granted.

He then left with his disciples. In a nearby town they came upon a burning ground where king's body was just about to be cremated. Shankara, through his yogic power, entered the dead body who immediately came back to life and asked to be taken back to his palace and to his queen. In the meantime, Shankara's own lifeless body was hidden under some bushes at a little distance and watched over carefully by his disciples until he was to re-enter it again.

Shankara went to the king's palace, and his wife and servants and everyone were astonished and delighted by his "return." Shankara now spent all his time enjoying with his wife, and asking her so many questions. His wife was intrigued and asked "why do you ask so many questions all of a sudden?" So Shankara replied "I was almost dead and through God's grace came back to life again, but in the process I have lost my memory. So it is only normal that I should ask you all these questions." This answer satisfied the wife for a little while, but as her "husband" wanted to enjoy continuously with her, which he had never done before, she grew more and more suspicious that maybe an evil spirit had taken possession of her husband's body. So she sent her personal attendants to the cremation ground and to see whether they could find the body of someone who had recently died lying nearby. They went there and, having discovered Shankara's lifeless body, they snatched it and brought it back to the queen. A funeral pyre was constructed in the courtyard and Shankara's body was placed on top. The funeral pyre was lit. Meanwhile, Shankara's disciples were hiding and praying fervently to Shankara to come back to his body immediately. Shankara then left the king's body, re-entered his own body and immediately jumped down from the funeral pyre, having being just slightly burned on the leg. He left the town with his disciples.

Shankara now returned to debate Ubhay Bharati on sexual matters, and he easily won, having mastered in a few days all the arts of sexual love. Mandana Mishra and Bharati admitted defeat, and both became sannyasi and disciples of Shankara. Mandana Mishra remained in the ashram, and Ubhay Bharati took up residence in separate quarters. Mandana Mishra later headed one of the new monasteries founded by Shankara.

Shankara was very young, yet extremely spiritually advanced. If a person meditates very deeply in the fontanel by the practice of Kriya Yoga like him, then within a short period he can go to the fontanel. In the fontanel there is no negative, no money, no sex mood, no anger, no pride. By the practice of Kriya if one can reach the fontanel and remain there in their every breath—because breath is our life, our activity—by breath-control one will get self-control, and by breath-mastery one will get self-mastery. Shankara achieved self-mastery. Even as a young man, he became the top teacher in India. Sannyasins—people who are getting sannyas—attain this stage of Kriya.

Kriya Yoga is the foundation of all religions. It gives extreme calmness which is Godliness, freedom from material sense—there is no question of age. Kriya Yoga is the easiest, simplest technique—one is only to remain with 99% attention in the fontanel the whole day and night, watch the breath and watch Him. Then it is possible.

In this world many people are teaching many things but always by the five sense-organs. They get hallucinations, imagination, they speak high of themselves and commit many mistakes. In the Bible, Matthew 7:15, it is said "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. "And in Matthew 7:19 "Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire." This is also found in the Upanishads: ''Living in the midsts of ignorance and considering themselves intelligent and enlightened, the senseless people go round and round, following crooked courses, just like the blind led by the blind." (Katha Upanishad 1:2:5). Also: "Remaining within the fold of ignorance and thinking, 'We are ourselves wise and learned', the fools, while being buffeted very much, ramble about like the blind led by the blind alone. Continuing diversely in the midst of ignorance, the unenlightened take airs by thinking, "We have attained the goal'. Since the men, engaged in karma, do not understand the truth under the influence of attachment, thereby they become afflicted with sorrow and are deprived of heaven on the exhaustion of the results o/karma." (Mundaka Upanishad 1:2:8-9)

So Kriya Yoga is a short-cut technique. In a moments time,
you can change your falsehood, you can change your extrovert stage
and go to the fontanel. Then you will be free from all negatives and
get constant liberation.

Anchor your body-boat in the fontanel, and you will never drift in the worldly ocean.

- Paramahamsa HariharanandaChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-80687243290090823702008-07-16T11:10:00.000-07:002008-07-16T11:11:58.453-07:00ISA UPANISAD [4]The Ever New Metephorical Interpretation for Soul Culture
by Swamii Hariharananda Giri

anejad ekam manaso javiyo
nainad deva apnuvan purvam arsat tad dhavato'nyan atyeti tisthat tasminn apo matarisva dadhati

Anejad ekam manaso javiyo means that the Soul in your body is not moving, but the Soul is still more speedy than your mind. The soul is so powerful. You are sitting here, you are thinking of India; within a second's time you can reach there, and you can see everything. So your mind is undoubtedly powerful. If you feel that you are sitting in the high heaven, then in a moment you can reach there and can feel extreme calmness. That mind is a part of God. Although the Soul is very calm, still it is more powerful than the mind.

Nainad deva apnuvan purvam arsat means that your mind, your five sense telephones, even the powerful sun, moon, air, fire cannot reach it. You think you are only a body and a most ordinary man. But you are not that.
When you think anything, when you perceive anything, then you feel as if your mind, five sense telephones and thoughts have brought it. But it is not that. In your Soul, in your brain, you are thinking of that object. It is not your mind, nature, or five sense telephones that brought it to you. It is called from within, and immediately you are transformed with that thought, and automatically seeing means being.

Suppose fear comes in your mind. Your whole body is transformed into fear, and that fear is the new perception of the Self. You are absorbed in that thought. You are also thinking of how to get rid of that fear. Through this, you decide in what way you will remove your fear. It is done by Soul only. Through this you are also getting new inspiration and evolution. If you feel that this inspiration is given by the Soul, then you will get divine evolution. Sorrow and happiness may arise in your mind. They are also the living presence of the Soul, but without the Soul you cannot perceive either sorrow or happiness. The Soul is your only witness. Without the Soul you cannot do anything. If you feel this through your every action, you will get divine evolution and gradually be transformed into the Soul.

Atma is formless, abiding in the human body. The human body and mind are restless, but the human Soul is still. In the Bible it is written that you should be still and feel that you are the power of God. If a man gets good guidance, he can convert his mind into knowledge, consciousness, and super-consciousness. He can feel that his body is limited, but the Soul in his body is all-pervading and very powerful.

Tasminn apo matarisva dadhati means that the Soul remains in the body, because the super-power, Soul, is constantly inhaling and exhaling in every human being. This is the life force of every human being, which is called matarisva. If inhalation and exhalation do not continue in a human being, the person then is a dead body and cannot do anything. Inhalation and exhalation are the life of every human being. By the control of this inhalation a man can remove his restlessness or any work or any thought he is getting. All are coming from God and are given as an oblation in the divine fire. Through his every activity he is getting some material object, and also feeling that he is the living presence of God and that he is merged in the divine fire. In the Upanisads the wife of Yajnavalkya said, "na vare pratyaksa maya pratihi priya bhavasti." The wife of Yajnavalkya is saying, "Not for the satisfaction of my husband do I love him. I love my husband because my living Soul is within me, and I feel the oneness of my Soul with his Soul. I am merged in my husband, and I become transformed with him." The whole Isa Upanisad is giving the same teaching as here given by the wife of Yajnavalkya. We are to perceive the Soul in all matters.

Your every restlessness is serving the soul. So your every restlessness is also worship of the Soul. If you enjoy any material thing, that is your Self-realization, oneness with the Soul. Your every pleasure is the pleasure of the Soul.

You do not see anything in your mind, in your life, without the Soul. You do not know that your birth and death, your dream and thought, your sexual pleasure and movement, whatever you are perceiving and feeling is your Soul only. Without the Soul you cannot perceive and enjoy. It is not your downfall if you feel that whatever you are meeting with, and the whole universe, is the Soul. Once you feel that the Soul is giving various sensations, then you are spiritually evolving.
Without life, without inhalation, the fire cannot remain; the Soul cannot remain. So any work that you are getting is coming through your inhalation and exhalation, that is, your life. If you can control

and balance your inhalation, then you will feel that whatever is coming to your mind is Isa only. It has come for evolution, not for degradation.
The psychologist says that in the human body we generally see flesh, bones, marrow, five sense telephones, etc., along with the life and the Soul. Through this a person can perceive that the whole world is Isa. But ignorant people do not do it. After that they die, and from the dead body we get some water, lime, and coal. From that time they cannot do anything. Every man should remain alert and feel that death is inevitable; realizing that, no one knows when he will die. Knowing this, they should seek Isa in the whole universe. Then every moment, through every activity, they can get God-realization.

AUMChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-86695050459803833562008-07-15T15:11:00.000-07:002008-07-15T15:12:53.135-07:00Letter to BrianAUM June, 1991

My Affectionate and Divine Brian Father,

I am extremely happy that you showed great regard to Swami Atmananda Giri and Acharya Lyzanne Mother when they visited the San Francisco area in May. You also have shown great regard for Hariharananda and my treatment.

God is watching this from your indwelling self. Surely, God will give you more, both materially and spiritually. I am also praying for your all-round development and peace. Please meditate deeply. Remain in the Kingdom of God inside the cranium in an atom point. From that place He is inhaling breath. That is why you are doing work. So you are all learning "soul culture" for self-realization.

Soul culture means that you only bow 7 times, each time remaining 10 seconds, and watch your soul moving in your whole system. Through that practice you will get calmness, which is Godliness. You will always hear divine sound.

Work is worship, so constantly watch your soul before and after and while performing action. The actor is He, your soul.

When you talk, see, hear, walk, work, gossip, laugh, every time in everything in every action, He is doing. Without His breath you are all a dead body. That is good, very good. But they should know, "Who is earning money? Who is enjoying sexually, and who is taking food?" All worldly people, rich and poor, educated and illiterate, business people and scientist, all are thinking, "Our body is doing work." But practically that is not true.

If the power of God does not inhale breath from within, then no one can earn money, no one can enjoy sexually, no one can get rich or eat delicious food. If the indwelling Self does not inhale breath, they are dead bodies. So they should know that the indwelling Self who is remaining within is the sole doer of the human body. And He is doing all types of work through our body by the breath. As the sun does not rise in the darkness, so no one can do work without the presence of the soul (sun) in the body. The presence of the soul in the body allows us to work. The soul is more important than the sun because without the soul no one can even see the sun. Without soul we are a dead body, and a dead body cannot do any work. That soul-sun is doing all work through our body. But everyone ignores the soul, thinking only the body is working.

In each human body there are two bodies, one is the gross (physical) body, and the other is the indwelling Self. Self is constantly inhaling breath. It is why we can see, we can hear, we can talk, we can smell, we can work, and we can walk. Everything is done by the indwelling Self. In the scriptures, Bhagavad-gita, chapter 2, verse 40, it is said:

svalpam apy asya dharmasya
trayata mahato bhayat

If all human beings—rich and poor, educated and illiterate, business people and scientist, and all types of people—would meditate for a short period, only 5 to 10 minute's time, then they'll be free from all troubles, worries, anxieties, pitfalls, and shortcomings. They'll be free from fear of poverty, fear of loss of prestige, fear of disease, and fear of death. All human beings are born for God-realization. God is all-pervading and omnipresent, so He's remaining everywhere, in every human being, even in the vacuum, air, fire, water and earth.
The detailed meaning of the verse is:

svalpam apy asya dharmasya
trayata mahato bhayat

savelpam means very little
apy means also
asya means of it
trayata means saves or make you free
mohato means from great
bhayat means fear
dharmasya means religion.

The translation of the verse is: If you meditate for a very little time, 5 to 10 minutes, then surely you will be free from great frustration, fear of money, fear of loss of prestige, fear of diseases and fear of death (These four fears are mohato bhayat).

The real meaning of dharmasya is this. Dharma is dheri dhatu-man, which means the power of breath which is inhaled by the power of God-it is called dharma. The power of God, Who is inhaling breath through our nostrils, is the reason why our body is still in the world. If the power of God does not inhale breath, then we are dead bodies and we cannot do anything. He is protecting and preserving our body. So whenever He is the sole doer, we should watch Him in our every action. This is called dharmasya, religion, meditation. It means to be free from mind, thought, body sense and world sense. You will only feel the living power of God moving in your whole system. You are constantly hearing divine sound, and you will always remain in the cosmic conscious stage. This means you are in light and you are not in ignorance.
So, svalpam apy asya dharmasya, a very little meditation, trayata mahat bhyat, make you free from fear of death, worries, anxieties, pitfalls, troubles, poverty, disease, and loss of prestige.

There are many ways for God-Realization, but Kriya Yoga is the short-cut technique, the quickest technique by which within 4 to 5 minute's time you'll be free from your mind, thought, intellect, ego, body sense and worldly sense. These will not remain and you will get real formless stage, peace and extreme calmness which is Godliness. You have never felt this in your life but you should come and perceive it and taste it. Only the Kriya Yoga technique, which is taught by Babaji, Lahiri Baba, and Sri Yukteswarji is the authentic and original technique. We are teaching that technique.

What is Kriya Yoga. Any work you are doing is called "kri", and "ya" means your indwelling soul, who is doing all types of works. So by the practice of this Kriya Yoga technique you will get constant alertness of the inner self. Many persons are meditating, worshipping, and searching God in many ways. But when they sit for meditation, they are getting many thoughts and anxieties. This is adulterated meditation, so they can never get single-minded meditation. God-realization is not possible if the mind is not completely absorbed in self. Those who are in adulterated meditation, they should ask their consciousness what is their gain from their meditation. They have no gain, so their practical life is unpleasant, full of anger, pride and anxiety. They have no sweetness, kindness, purity, and perfection. Only they have frustration and disharmony. Love does not flourish; the bond between two friends is not strong. So they have no spiritual change in their life.

But by the power of a realized master you will get extreme calmness, which is Godliness. Within 2 to 5 minute's time you will surely perceive the living movement sensation of God in your 50 body parts. On the day of initiation you will have a new divine perception to your life.

Kriya Yoga is so nice a technique. Only by magnetizing the spine you can change your life force into radiant all-accomplishing divine force, which, in turn, hastens your physical change, mental change, intellectual change and spiritual change. And in every step of your life you will feel that two persons are working through you. One is your soul, the indwelling Self, another is your gross body. Any work which you are doing according to your destiny, you will get homogeneous consciousness. That means you will feel you and your indwelling Self are doing work together. When you will feel the soul is the sole doer, then automatically when you practice this technique, within 2 minutes time, you'll be free from all mind, thought, intellect, ego, body sense and world sense, and you will get the real formless stage and peace. You'll feel the living movement sensation of the power of God moving in your whole system, from top to bottom, in your 50 body parts, in your 108 body parts, everywhere He is moving and moving and moving up to infinity. And, along with this, you will get extreme calmness that is Godliness. And you will hear the divine sound—the real talk of God—everywhere. The mantra which you received from your Guru that you will hear always within you. That mantra you are not to chant by the mouth, but you will hear it automatically. You will hear spontaneous God sound.

In the scriptures it is said:

naeva bacha, na monosa pratum saka, na, chakshusa
(Katha Upanishada 2:3:12)

You cannot know God by talk, because if He does not inhale the breath, you cannot talk. You cannot see, you cannot hear, you cannot touch. Only by the practice of Kriya Yoga, you can lock your 5 sense organs within two minutes. You can get God-Realization. The formless cannot be perceived by the form. When you have anger, at that time you have no sex sense. When you have sex sense, at that time you have no anger. Similarly, whenever you have the worldly sense-mind, thought, intellect and ego-then it is not meditation. It is formal meditation. You are practicing the technique mechanically and not receiving the divine perception.

The word meditation means dhyana. The meaning of dhyana is dhyana samlina ntonasa nibisayam manaha. This means that your mind, thought, intellect, and ego will completely disappear and you will never get any sense of the world. This is called the real dhyana, meditation. But generally people are chanting, singing, talking, or doing worship by throwing flowers, and they are saying/This is our dhyana, this is our meditation." But practically they cannot get formless stage quickly. It will take years.

But the Kriya Yoga technique is so nice a technique. One ounce of practice is worth tons of theories. When people are sleeping, at that time they have no thought, they do not know where they have sat. Similarly, if they practice Kriya Yoga, then within 2 minutes time they will feel no worldly sense. Only they will feel the divineness within.

By magnetizing your spine you can change your life force into radiant all-accomplishing divine force, which in turn hastens your physical change, mental change and spiritual change. By the practice of this Kriya Yoga millions of cells will rejuvenate and regenerate. Your whole system will be new and fresh. You will never get heart failure and paralysis. In our cardiovascular system there are millions of cells dying within 2 minutes time. Your frontal lobe is where your education and experiences are stored by which you are getting prompt understanding and ready wit. This is your status, your degree and your brain power are remaining. So by the practice of this technique, by touching your forehead on the ground, immediately all the cells that have died will get power, they will rejuvenate their power and regenerate their power. So this Kriya Yoga technique will enable you to avoid drugs, intoxication. Don't whip the tired horse.

If you practice Kriya Yoga for 5 minutes, your power will rejuvenate and you will get all-round development, your liver and all glands will remain perfect. You will live long without any liver trouble, heart trouble and disease. Your Guru will remain your own guru. Your mantra will remain the same. I am not your Guru. I will only purify your 108 body parts, and within 5 minutes time you will feel divine vibration movement sensation of your istadeb in your whole body. You will get calmness which is Godliness, and you will always feel divine change in you. Kriya Yoga is based on breath control. There are many types of breaths. In passion, anger and sleep you have different breath. Similarly, mediation has also a different type of breath. Chala batha chalat cittam. If your breath is long then you are restless. Nish-chala, nishchalo bha-bet: It is written in the Vedas, and when your breath will be very feeble, then you'll get meditation. So during the time of meditation your breath will be very feeble and you'll get extreme calmness, as if you do not know where you have sat and what you are doing. Only divine qualities. The movement sensation of the power of God will be perceived in your whole system, even in the whole world, and with that power you can get God-realization. Breath control is self control. Breath mastery is self mastery. Breathlessness stage is death-lessness stage.

By the practice of this technique you can purify your whole body and you'll get constant alertness of your inner self. When you will earn money, you'll feel the power of God is earning money through your body; when you will enjoy sexually, then you will feel God is so kind to you that He allows you to get sex joy. Even when you will take food, you can judge what food and drink you will take. As without the sun, you cannot do any work in the darkness, so without your soul-sun you cannot do any work. By the power of this technique, you will be able to avoid your bad food, bad drugs and bad propensities. You will do work and will always feel that the power of God is doing. This is constant alertness of God in your practical life and this is also constant liberation to you. Work is worship.

Whoever you may be, you should think very deeply about your sound health and long life. To get 100 years' life you require constant alertness of your 7 centers. The first center, second center, and third center, that means money, sex and food, give human beings various troubles, such as diseases, stomach trouble, intestinal disorder, indigestion. Also drinking alcohol gives some abnormal brain and liver trouble. Through excessive food many are getting heart failure within a short time and, at the age of 40, 45, are dying. Many are very rich: They have multistoried buildings, they are watching the television and immediately they die. The heart center, the 4th center, is full of pride, anger, vanity, ego, crookedness and selfishness. Through this, people they are getting heart trouble. You may be rich but you can remain 100 years divinely if you practice Kriya Yoga.

About spiritual food it is written in Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 17, verse 8, that you will take ghee, fruit, milk, honey, cream, protein, curd. Also about food control it is written in Bhagavad-gita Chapter 6, verse 17, that you should take only moderate food drink, enjoyment, sleep and contemplation - what you can tolerate easily-that is health giving.

In scriptures, Isa Upanisada, 2nd verse, it is written

kurvan eva iha karmini
jijivesec chatim samah

This means you are to survive 100 years. The power of God is remaining within you. If you take short breath, then you will live long. The elephant is taking 3 breaths in one minute, so the elephant lives 200 years. The alligator also, and the crocodile, tortoise, they are taking 2-3 breaths. The dog is always running and taking many breaths, so they live only 12 years. So if you control your breath and you practice this technique, then you'll be really educated, you'll be really happy, and you'll get money at the same time. Everywhere you will feel the power of God—whether breath control is there or not you are to watch. So through this breath control you will also avoid all bad qualities. Even many unnecessary things people can avoid.

To get 100 years' life you require constant alertness of your 7 centers. So if you practice this technique only 5 minutes, then surely you will get long life, sound health, peace, prosperity, prompt understanding, ready wit and constant alertness of the inner Self. This is the principle thing of life. But you see, human beings they have no peace, only restlessness. By the practice of this Kriya Yoga authentic technique, within 5 to 10 minute's time, if you practice it daily, you will get everything. In your every step and in every moment you will feel, "I am not I, I am that real I, He and I are one and always have been one." And this is enough. You will always feel that the power of God remaining in the whole world is "Only for me, only for my jcy. God is so kind. He's all-pervading, omnipresent, omniscient." So in the food you can see Him. In everything you can feel the living power of God, so you'll always watch two things at a time. The body and soul are one: ham and sa are one. Gu and ru are one.

Kriya Yoga is a very simple technique. There is no hardship. You are not to do any rigorous exercise. It will keep your body sound and beautiful and lustrous, and you will live long with sound health. Thank you very much.

AUMChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-25978336067273174502008-07-15T14:58:00.000-07:002008-07-16T09:49:19.037-07:00ISA UPANISAD [3]The Ever New Metaphorical Interpretation For Soul Culture By Swami Hariharananda Giri

SLOKA 2
kurvann eveha karmani jijivesec chatiam samah evam tvayi nanyatheto'sti na karma lipyyate nare

The literal translation of this Sloka is that in this world, if you work according to the first sloka, then you will get immortality and constant salvation. If you work in this way, then you will never get bondage or mortality. You will have no other alternative except perception of God.
In the first sloka it is said that Isvara is all-pervading, so every man should perceive it, conceive it, and realize it. In this sloka the rsi says that every human being can get self-realization, but the animal being cannot.

In the first sloka the rsi has instructed us to perceive the world as God's own all-pervading living form. He has also said to prepare your mind by which you may remain alert and feel that there is no non-God in the world and that any matter which you are enjoying is not matter, but Isa. Perceive all matter as living Soul and enjoy all matter as living Soul, then your knowledge and consciousness will always remain in cosmic consciousness.

It is the desire of God that the human being should always work with matter, but a man cannot get any work or cannot get any matter without the permission of the indwelling Self. So whenever we remain in the world we will only perceive the actor, the Soul, who is perceiving oneness through His action. The whole world is the manifestation of work, and that work is done by the indwelling Self of every human being. Your body is your body, but external objects in the world are also your body. Through your action you are to perceive that you and the whole world arc one ha.

If your mind wants Self-realization, then you need not renounce anything. Whatever you will renounce you are renouncing to God. From the indwelling Self you are getting inspiration of work. That work is worship. Any work that you perform, you will perform in the material world, which is also your Soul. It is why in the Isa Upanisad the rsi said, "You lead a life of work and if you feel that work is worship and the material world is also the living presence of Isa, then you will get salvation."

So first you should know what is work. Can a dead man do any work? Whenever there is nothing except the Soul and cosmic consciousness, then whatever we do with matter or memory is transformed into energy, and from energy into radiant all-accomplishing divine force. So whenever we perform any work from memory, it is nothing but the expression of our memory to super-consciousness.

The Soul is doing every work and through this He is getting some super—sensation. When a man gets super-consciousness, then, in every work, he will perceive divine sensation. If there is no God-consciousness in the human being, then he will seek only mortality, not immortality. The same work is done by the realized man and the same by the unrealized man, but they will get different results. It is why in the second sloka the rsi advised that only man can realize God, and whatever you find in the whole universe that is also Isvara. So you please try to follow the first sloka, otherwise your life will be miserable.

Every work has three steps: creation, retention, and destruction. According to the desire of God every man is getting inspiration to do some work. God is speaking from within to do a particular work. Accordingly man is thinking of the object of the work. Thinking means being. Immediately the work takes three forms, that is, creation, retention, and destruction. When the work starts, he is absorbed in it. After that, the work continues for a longer period in him. After that, he finishes the work. By doing a particular work he gets some inspiration through it. So from the material object people are getting some new inspiration, which is the perception of God.

In the whole world we see matter and various objects. They are all Isa. Human beings are also the living Soul. In this world a man cannot stay without doing some work. But any material work which is coming in the brain is not coming whimsically, it is God-sent.

According to the inspiration of God, man is getting particular work. If a man thinks, "This work is given to me to do, it has come in a divine form and it will give me some divine inspiration," then he will feel the oneness of Soul in the work. Through that work he will feel divine inspiration and his work will be accomplished very nicely. Through this he will get constant salvation and that work will be worship to him.

Generally, man always feels that there is non-God in the universe and that the material world is just matter. He feels as if mechanically he does his work. Through this he cannot perceive any divinity in him. This is why in the second sloka it is written for the general mass, "You are constantly merged in delusion, illusion and error and you do not feel that in the whole creation, only the Creator is abiding." In your boyhood you were absorbed in play and study. In your youthful stage you have passed your time in a neglectful mood. Half of your life has passed in sleeping and gossiping. So, my reverend souls, do not forget that you can realize God through your every activity, through your action. For this you require the good company of the realized soul. By His help you can perceive how you are to live your hundred years' life. Through your whole life you require caution in your food, work and movement. You require moderation. You should know that only the human being can perceive God, conceive God and realize God. Also you should know the whole world is Isa. Anything that is coming to your brain is given by Isa. Any material desire that grows in your mind is given by Isa. And any action or work which you are doing is accordingly done by Isa.

Having created the universe, the Creator entered into the creation. However insignificant something may be, still the Creator is there. Try to feel that God is all-pervading, omniscient, omnipresent. If you come to good company, then accordingly you prepare your own field. Try to understand that the power of God, Isa is within you. Also feel that any thirst, any hunger, any desire, any emotion that is entering in your brain is given by Him and accordingly you are getting oneness of that matter with your indwelling self. Through this you are experiencing divine perception and conception, divine thought, divine will, divine memory, salvation and God -realization.

Do not remain blind like an animal being. Open your third eye. Always perceive that you are that immortal Soul. In the scriptures it is said, "mrtyus ca mrtyur apnoti ya iha nanyeva pasyati." If you do not feel that you are a living Soul and that constantly whatever is coming to your brain is also Isa, then you will always feel mortality, bondage and unpleasantness. But if through your every action, you feel that your are the prototype of God's thought, that you are His deathless child and anything coming to your brain is also the power of God, then through your every activity you will earn salvation, peace, bliss, joy and immortality. Always feel that work is worship. Without Soul no work can be accomplished, because all work is done by Him only.

(End of commentary of second SLOKA)Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-91082220056056429942008-07-15T14:27:00.000-07:002008-07-15T14:28:13.628-07:00A Message from Swamiji [2]You are born only to get the power of God

In the Bhagavat-gita, Chapter 3, verse 12, it is said:

taihrdattanapradayaibhyo yo bhunkte stena eva sah

"The power of divine quality which God has given you, you should distribute it to every person. Besides your invincible self, there are Bhishma, Karna, Kripa - ever-victorious in battle - Asvatthama, Vikarna and Saumadatti (Bhurishraba).

Having seen the powerful soldiers of Pandava, the spiritual party, Duryodhana, the leader of the human mind, got nervous and felt that his side might not win the battle. Therefore, he first flattered his Guru, Dronacharya by saying, "In our regiment you are the topmost warrior, because you are the Guru of both the Kauravas and the Fandavas; undoubtedly, no one can win the battle." The next warrior is the commander-in-chief, Bhishma, followed by the warriors Karna, Kripa, Asvatthama, Vikarna and Jayadratha (son of Somadatta).

The preceding chapter discusses the warriors of Kaurava (our biological forces) in detail. In every human being there are two qualities. One is evil and the other is good. Generally, human beings remain absorbed in the material world: memory, prosperity, pleasure of senses, concern with status, addiction, fear, weakness of mind, delusion and doubt. They think they are very rich and will remain extremely happy with these qualities and properties. This is all ignorance. Dronacharya is the Guru of both the Kauravas and Pandavas. Dronacharya means a man of vacillating temperament. If a person is always fickle, how can he win in the battle of human life? Fickleness cannot attain peacefulness.

The second warrior of Kaurava, Bhisma, is the commander-in-chief. Bhishma means a false sense of prestige and firm determination of mind. He has a strong ego and is determined not to see the face of Shikhandi. If this resolution is maintained by the commander-in-chief, how can he fight when he sees Shikhandi standing before him? Thus, all human beings remain absorbed in the material world with fickleness and we are not willing to fight our evil propensities. Therefore, we cannot gel peace.

The third warrior is Karna, who is dangerous and very powerful. Karna means our ears. Our ears are always willing to hear melodious songs. We are always busy with TV or radio. Early in the morning we set our radios to go on when we are sleeping. Having heard the sound, we will be enticed. In this way we have no morning sacrifice to God. We are not praying, not meditating - not even telling God, "Oh, Lord! I was extremely tired last night and You have given me a nice rest in the night, and I am indebted to You. In the morning I have gained fresh energy and agility, so I offer my gross, astral and causal body to Thee. If You do not inhale through my nose, I am a dead body; You are the sole doer in me; You are inhaling through me." But we do not do this. We are always absorbed with the melodious songs, gossiping, scandal-mongering, finding fault and weakness in others, and other bad habits. Kama means ear. If you speak ill of someone, something which is not true, our ears will believe it and will cherish the misconception and misimpression.

The fourth warrior is Kripa, which means attachment and attraction. Suppose you see some beautiful flowers or an attractive human being with your eyes? Your heart and mind will immediately be absorbed. You will be attached and absorbed in that, and you will totally forget that you cannot be absorbed without Soul. We are not perceiving Soul, as we are absorbed in matter and memory. We have fickleness and restlessness of the heart. Through this, we will get heart trouble and many types of diseases in the body. Thus, we do not have peace, which is our birthright.

The fifth soldier of Kuru paksha, which means our biological force, is Asvatthama, the son of Dronacharya. Dronacharya is fickle and so his son is also very restless. The metaphorical meaning of Asvatthama is endless desire. When one desire is fulfilled, immediately another desire comes. These desires are the main hinderance of Soul Culture for every human being. Until a devotee can remove his ambitions, his extrovert stage, he cannot perceive the truth of life and cannot get peace of mind.

The sixth soldier is Vikarna. Metaphorically, Vikarna means disbelieving in a person. The person may be innocent, but on the basis of having heard something against him, without determining whether it is right or wrong, takes drastic action against him. Likewise, people in general remain very far from Truth. When people say that self-realization is very difficult, we believe it without remembering that the Self is always within us. Without Self we would have no sight, no sound, no touch sensation, no passion, and no anger. We would not have any life in our body. Self is doing everything. If we follow the Bhagavad-gita and practice Kriya Yoga, we can perceive, conceive and realize the Self in our every work. But we do not do it, because we are Vikarna. We have heard many things against it, and that firm belief does not allow us to judge what is right or what is wrong.

Saumadatti is the seventh solder of the Kauravas. Saumadatti is the son of Somadatta; his name is Bhurishraba, also. Bhur means extreme, and sraha means hear. Bhurishraba is one who hears a lot of things, so his mind is bewildered. Suppose somebody hears much about Hinduism, Islam of Judaism, and his mind is changed. He leaves his own religion and follows the religion of some other person. In this way he is bewildered and perceives nothing. In the Bhagavad-gita, 3rd Chapter, 35th verse and 18th Chapter, 47th verse, it is written that everyone should follow his own religion. It is wise to die remaining in your own religion; you should not follow the religion of other persons. In this world we find that many people are like Bhurishraba. They hear much and talk about many religions, but they have accepted neither their own religion nor that of others. That type of person cannot perceive the Truth and gain the ultimate goal of their life.

AUMChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-13188778533591184572008-07-15T14:19:00.000-07:002008-07-16T09:47:23.354-07:00ISA UPANISAD [2]The Ever New Metaphorical Interpretation For Soul Culture
By Swami Hariarananda Giri

In ancient times the scriptures in India were passed down orally from sages to their disciples. The spiritual tradition in India differs from many other religions in that the scriptures were not derived from the teachings of a single Master. Rather, the scriptures', truth was experienced directly by many sages in states of deep meditation. For generation after generation the scriptures were taught by the sages to their students. The teaching included practical instruction to help the students to achieve a state of meditation in which they could experience for themselves the truth of the scriptures and thus carry on the oral tradition.

Swamiji's commentary is a bit unusual in that he does not give a literal translation of each verse. Because each word contains such a complex meaning, a literal translation of a verse can at best give an inadequate sense of its meaning; sometimes it can even seriously distort the meaning.

Vedas
There are 108 Upanisads. The Upanisads are a part of the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures in India. Veda comes from the verb vid, which means to know. What are we to know? The indwelling Self. So veda means to know thy own Self. There are four Vedas, which are voluminous. By reading them we will not be knowers of the Self. But the four Vedas can be des-cussed in a nutshell to describe the process of knowing ourselves.

The four Vedas are Rk, Yajur, Sama and Atharva. These four Vedas are the four steps by which we can come to know the indwelling Self. Every thought, every disposition is satisfied with these four steps. Rk is the thought or desire which initially comes to our brain. Yajur is the object that would satisfy the desire of thought. Sama is the balance or enjoyment obtained from acting on the thought or from receiving the object that staisfies the desire. Finally, Atharva is the satisfaction that comes from the fulfillment of the thought or desire.

For example, suppose you are hungry. The thought that you are hungry is rk. You act to satisfy your hunger by asking someone to bring you food. This is yajur. The food is brought, but you will not get satisfaction if you don't eat, so you begin to eat. Receiving and eating the food are sama; you are enjoying the food and getting balance. Finally, after you have eaten sufficient food your appetite has completely disappeared. Now you are satisfied which isatharva.

In your every thought you are getting four Vedas. But you should know that thine own Self who is abiding within you has given you the thought. The power of God has given the thought, Rk, that you are hungry. It is the talk of God, Yajur, when you ask that food be brought. The food itself is also the power of God. God is all-pervading, so He is remaining in the food. When you are taking food, you are feeding Him. He is God in human being; human being in God. If you can perceive it, you are the knower of the Vedas. You are the knower of Self.

Upanisads
The Upanisads contain the esence of the Vedas. If you read any upanisad and can apply it fully in your daily life, you will be highly realized. In the Sanskrit language, there is great depth to the meaning of each word, because the individual syllables of the word themselves have meaning. To gain the full meaning of a Sanskrit word, it is necssary to scan its parts.

Upanisad comes from upa ni sat kip. Upa means quickly. Ni means completely. Sat means all your bad habits or your ignorance. And kip means to remove or destroy it. So Upanisad means quickly and completely remove all your ignorance. If you read an Upanisad and follow it completely, you can remove your bad habits and quickly reach the divine state. Then you will feel that you are the power of God.

Among the Upanisads, the Isa Upanisad is the most important. It is only about Isa. Isa means Isvara, which means the power of God. God was alone and it was His desire to be many. So He made men and women in His own image and He breathed into their nostrils the breath of His life. He became the living Soul in the whole universe. So whatever you see in the whole universe is the power of God.

SLOKA 1

Isavasyam idam sarvam
yat kinca jagatyam jagat
tena tyaktena bhunjitha
ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam

The literal translation of this sloka is: "In this world whatever is changeable is covered by the Lord; thus, one should enjoy the world with the idea of God. So do not steal the wealth of anyone." But the real metaphysical meaning of this sloka is that there is nothing in this world which is not God. The definition of God is all-pervading. So there is nowhere where He is not!

In the Mahabharata God has many names. In this sloka He is called Isa. Isa means Isvara, The power of God. The twenty-four gross elements of every human body and the purusa, or soul, are the power of God, that is Isvara. It is the desire of the rsi (the man of right vision) to explain in detail in the Isa Upanisad about the nature of Isvara, the power of God. In the Isa Upanisad there are only eighteen slokas. The rsi who was the author meditated deeply and explained in these slokas how the power of God, Isvara, is all-pervading. He explains that the power of God is present in everything.

We are always engrossed with the material world. We do not know truth, so we are constantly busy with falsehood. We are always engrossed with delusion, illusion and error. Our kundalini sakti (Serpent Power) is not yet awakened, so we do not feel in our gross body that the powerful, invisible body is always abiding within us. That invisible body is the sole doer in every human being.

We have no soul-culture, because we do not practice Kriya Yoga, which is the short-cut technique of soul-culture. So, we always have ignorance within us. That is why every human being fails to understand that whenever he is seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, eating talking, walking, doing, moving, enjoying, all is done by the power of God, that is Isvara. For this reason, the rsi first wrote "isavasyam idam sarvam yat kinca jagatyam jagat." God, Isvara, is all-pervading. However insignificant something may be, it is He. Since we have no meditaion, we cannot perceive, we cannot conceive, we cannot think, we cannot realize that whatever we are seeing and doing, it is only He, Isvara.

Isvara is beyond death, beyond ignorance, beyond darkness, beyond falsehood. Only by meditation can we perceive this. So if you meditate, then in your every inhalation and every thought you can perceive that the power of God is always within you. Whatever is there in the universe, landed property, jungles, creepers, trees, plants, animal beings, insects any insignificant things which you are seeing, it is also Isvara, the power of God. In your thought, whatever you feel or understand, whatever you imagine while mixing with a person, whatever you appreciate, you should perceive all these as the power of God, Isvara.

You are born by the help of Isvara, you are brought up by the help of Isvara and in the end you will be merged in Isvara. In this sloka it is written, "yat kinca jagatyam jagat." Jagat means that which is born, which grows, develops, changes into various forms, takes a new shape.

We do not understand that Isvara is all-pervading, so we cannot perceive that this lifeless earth, water, fire, air, sky, birds, insects, man, grass, sand, dust are also all-pervading Isvara. So long as one does not have the power of meditation one cannot perceive God, but when we seek deeply then one day we will feel there is nothing in the universe which is not God. In all of the Upanisads it is said that God first contemplated and that created the universe. In the universe whatever we see, feel or imagine, that is the living presence of the soul. From one, He has become many. In the Aitarcya Upanisads it is written that God was not feeling happy. He wanted to be many. After that He started creation. First He created the sky. From the sky the air was born, from the water the earth was born, from the earth the fungus was born. Then from the fungus to the trees, from the trees to the seeds, from the seeds to the insects, from the insects to the animals, from the animals to the human being. Although there are many forms, they all are the power of God, Isvara.

In the Bible, in Genesis, God said that He would take a handful of dust and make man after His own image. He took a handful of dust and breathed into the nostrils His own breath, and He became many in the whole world. In the Isa Upanisad it is said, "Not only the human being, but whatever insignificant thing may be in the world, it is I, Myself, that is remaining there." In the Candogya Upanisad it is said that the living God takes the form of inanimate objects. He created the sky, air, fire, water and earth, and by the help of this, He has created food-grains, vegetables, milk, fruits and other food products. Isvara has given energy to every animal and human being, and through these, the animal and the human being are getting life-force.
Air is the principal requirement of every human being. Air means inhalation, which enters through the nostrils to the lungs, by which all living beings are alive. As there is cotton in the cloth, so inhalation is the life of every human being. The secondary requirement of every human being is food, water and fire. By the help of food, water, and fire, the living can create vak (talk), prana (life-force), and mana (mind).

In the external world we see various powers. In the internal world this corresponds to our talk. In the external world we see water, which in the internal world is affection and love. In the external world we see food. In the internal world we get mind through food. Our thoughts come out in the form of vak, prana and mana. We express our mind through talk. That is also Isvara, the power of God.

In the first sloka of Isa Upanisad it is said that the whole world what we perceive, what we conceive, what we feel, what we think, what we see, what we hear, what we taste is all perceived by the power of Isvara.

The real meaning of the two words "jagatyamjagaf" is that any perceptions, conceptions, will, thoughts, memory, particular sensations which are arising in any human being are also given by God, that is Isvara. Any passion, anger, greediness, pride, vanity, ego, suspicion, viciousness, sorrows and fears are appearing in every human being also by the power of Isvara. In the Bhagavad-Gita it is said, "amrtam caiva mrtyus ca sad asac caham Arjuna." The Lord said, "Oh Arjuna, nectar, poison, falsehood and truth, all are created by me, but evil propensities should be avoided."

Isvara and Faramesvara are two different things. There are eight aspects of God, of which one power is called Isvara (Soul, while Parames-vara is the unity of divine being. In the Smruti scriptures it is written, "tat sarvam abhavat," which means that He, Isvara, becomes many. This is the quality of Isvara.

The next line of the first chapter of Isa Upanisad is "tena tyaktena bhun-jiitha ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam." It means that you should enjoy everything in a divine manner, since the power of Isvara is within you. He is feeling appetite. Then He is also expressing His desire for lunch, which is also the power of God. Although the lunch is matter, yet the energy and power of God is there. You are seeing the lunch. Isa in a human form is seeing the lunch on the table. The scriptures say, "drastum srotum jnatum vaktum tattena anupravistum." It means that the seer and the seen are one. Seeing means being, hearing means being, knowing means being, talking means being. Without the Soul, Isa, one cannot see the lunch on the table. Man (Soul) feeds the lunch to the living soul. Now the lunch is transformed into energy in the stomach. After that the living man (Isa) is getting strength in the whole body. By the help of this food his eye can see, and seer and seen are one. His ear can hear by the help of inanimate food-grains. His mouth can speak. Then the human being can feel that whatever he is doing it is done by the inanimate external food-grains which is Isa, the power of God.

In the world there is much matter and many objects which we do not require, although they are a form of Isa. But when we feel the need of them, then we want to unify them with our Soul, that is Isa. Without Soul we cannot enjoy anything. Whenever we are going to enjoy, the desire comes from the Soul, that is, Isa. If we feel that the Soul wants another inanimate form of the Soul, then it is "tena tyaktena bhunjitha." That is renunciation, also that is God-perception. If in our every enjoyment we feel that Soul is enjoying Soul, that is real renunciation.

There are many people who always feel that there is non-God in the universe. It is their wrong impression. It is why whenever they enjoy the material world they think that it is matter only and enjoyment only. Thus they get bondage, and they do not get peace and salvation. But if they could feel that there is no non-God in this universe, that everything is Isa and any material urge is coming from within from God only and it is merged in God only, then, though they are worldly men, they would feel that they are not doing anything If they would feel like this, they would be free from bondage and they would even feel liberation in them.

In the Bible, in the Vedas, in the Upanisads, in the Brahmasutra it is expressed that God has created this whole universe, and having created everything, He has entered into the creation. However insignificant it may be, it is He. In the whole universe whatever we see, feel, perceive, it is the new manifestation of the Soul only. In the Isa Upanisad it is said that you should constantly feel through your activities that He is remaining compassionately detached in everything. He is the only doer; then, if you enjoy anything, you will enjoy God only.

This is also said in Kriya Yoga. Kri means you do your work the whole day and night. Any work that is coming to your mind, you do it nicely; but you should know that a dead man cannot work, only the living soul is working. Ya means the Soul in the human body. The Soul, ya, is giving inspiration to do the work. So, if any human being remains in the material world and practices this Kriya Yoga technique, then through his every action in the material world he will feel the real actor and oneness with the action. In this material world whatever inanimate objects we see are not untruth. They are also Isa, the power of God. Without these the creation cannot remain, because all the living Souls who are remaining in the universe are made by inanimate objects. Without these human life has no existence.

In every matter there is memory, that is, energy. That energy is our life-force. According to the need of every human being, He is going to unify that material energy in the body. If a person feels it, then he will be free from bondage and he will get liberation. So material enjoyment is not enjoyment, since it is called from within and it is given only to the living Soul. If a man can perceive this, then even having attached with some material object he will remain constantly detached, and also he will receive liberation. It is why in the Isa Upanisad it is said, "tena tyaktena bhunjitha." It means you should remain divine, since whatever you are enjoying is not material enjoyment; it is God-realization and God-perception.

If we see a lump of ice, we know that it can be transformed into liquid water or into vapor. Similarly, whenever gross inanimate matter is transformed into food and the food enters into the living human Soul, it transforms into energy and life in the human body, if a man does not take this worldly matter and water for eleven days, life will not remain in the body.

In the whole universe, whatever you perceive as inanimate matter, do not feel it so. Feel that it is the Isa, the power of God. If you enjoy the material object as a living Soul, then you can perceive that the whole universe is nothing but the power of God, that is Isa. If you remain conscious of this day and night you will feel the all-pervasiveness of Isa. This is enjoyment without bondage and renunciation through enjoyment, which will give you constant liberation.

The most important and essential part of this sloka is "ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam." The literal translation of this sentence is: "Do not steal the wealth of other persons." Almost all the authors who have translated this sloka have translated it in this way. But the real meaning of this sloka is that the desire for any material thing or object which a person is getting from the indwelling Self is the desire of God. God has given inspiration that the person is in need of that particular matter or object. So, he is not stealing the wealth of others. For example, a child wants to suck the breast of his own mother. The milk of his mother is his property. The child is not stealing, since the milk is made by God only for him. So the child is sucking the breast of his mother, which is made by God for him.

In the whole universe all sights, sounds, touch sensations, beauty, desire for drink, desire for smell, whatever you are getting—it is given by God, and it is enjoyed by God. No one is stealing the property of others. According to desire of God, man is hearing and getting touch sensation. He is getting mind, thought and intellect. All are given by God only. Your food, water, respect, fame, wealth, wife, husband, son, daughter, prosperity, happiness, unhappiness, whatever you are getting is ordained and given by God. He is your wife; He is your husband; He is your child; you are feeling oneness with Him. It is your own belonging; it is your own house; it is your own property; it is oneness with them. It is not stolen by you. Nothing is stolen by you, whether it is name, fame, prosperity, peace or happiness. You are getting them automatically, and you are feeling oneness and divineness with them all. You cannot get forcibly your fame, your respect, your prosperity or anything. It is according to the desire of God. He has given you wife and husband. No one can forcibly demand anything; it is ordained. You are not stealing the property of others. Isvara is all—perceive Him in the whole universe, then you will perceive oneness with matter and material world. Matter, memory and the indwelling Soul (Isa) are one, and that is your constant salvation.

The first sloka of the Isa Upanisad is very important. Only realized souls can understand it and can explain it in detail. Those who are remaining in God-consciousness through their every bhoga, pleasure, will feel the divine motion, spiritual satisfaction and oneness with God. Suppose a man it thirsty. When he satisfies his thirst, he gets divine pleasure and divine perception. Suppose a baby is crying and his mother comes immediately and takes him. Through this she gets divine pleasure, self-satisfaction and God-perception. Suppose a newly-married husband sees his wife. Both arc getting divine vibration, divine motion, oneness and divine pleasure, "tena tyaktena bhunjitha" means that if a man always remains with God-consciousness, then, no matter what is coming to him, he is feeling divine bliss.

"Ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam" means that nobody is stealing anything. Man has attained the youthful stage, and accordingly, God has given him a wife. He is not stealing it, it is his Soul. Mother is taking her child. She is not stealing the child, it is her own Soul. If a man leads his life in this way, then through his every action, thought and memory he will perceive Isa everywhere and oneness with the Soul everywhere, and he will get constant salvation. Those who are not doing this will earn always mortality.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-55528219297126201492008-07-15T14:11:00.000-07:002008-07-16T09:53:34.463-07:00Kriya Yoga - The Essence of All ReligionsA discourse delivered in Hamburg, Germany By Paramahamsa Hariharananda

"dogdhe aswei bac doham"

Oh Lord, You are abiding in every human being. You are also talking through my mouth. I, therefore, humbly request You, Father, to talk very sweetly and divinely through my mouth by which all people will get God realization. I bow to you all. My respected souls, you all know in the Bible, Genesis, it says, "God made men and women in His own image, and He breathed into their nostrils the breath of His life, and He became the living souls in the whole universe." Therefore, I want to bow to the people of the whole universe with deepest regard.

As souls you all are the children of God. You have the same potential as God. Beauty, sweetness, perfection, love and life are the powers of God, the qualities of God. Those qualities also remain in every human being. You are marvelous powers of God. You are all religious. Many of you have taken initiation from many people. But if you ask your conscience, you will say that you are not feeling that you are the power of God. Even for ten minutes you are not perceiving that formless stage. When you are sitting for meditation, you are getting more thoughts.

In the Bible Matthew said that your eyes should seek God. Ask your conscience the whole day and night if your eyes seek God. Matthew said that your hands and legs should seek God. Ask your conscience, "Do you feel that the power of God is working through your hands, walking through your legs, and seeing through your eyes?" It is also written that your mouth is not made for bread only. The talk that proceeds from your mouth, is that the talk of God? Throughout the day do you feel it? You are Christians. The Bible should be in your practical life. Do you feel that your body is a real Bible? Why are you not feeling? Jesus also said the same thing, "You are born of flesh, so you are after the flesh. But you are to be born again from above through water and spirit. (John 3:5)

In the Bhagavat-gita, sixth Chapter, 25th verse, it is said:

sanaih sanairuparamedubuddhya dhrtigrhitaya

It is written in the sixth Chapter that "you should gradually come up, come up, and come up on the top." You will also see that it is written in Bhagavat-gita in the fourth Chapter, 42nd verse:

tasmadajnanasambhutam brtstham jnanasinatmanah chitvainam samjayam yogamatisthottistha bharata

"Come up on the top of your head. Where the power of God is residing, your soul is remaining. If you remain there and calmly watch, then you will get the real Truth." You should not look anywhere; calmly fix your pin-pointed attention in the soul in the pituitary. Until you do that, you cannot perceive the real Truth.

tasmin sati swasa praswasa gati bichhedah pranayamah

Truth is required. Kriya Yoga is teaching the Truth. It is a very short-cut technique. Within five minutes' time you will get that power to rise inside where it is needed.

I am telling you the real truth about the Kriya is that all our centers, although remaining from the lower center to the top (coccy-geal, sacral, lumbar, dorsal, cervical, medulla), if the soul does not remain, then you have no centers.

Therefore, all the centers are remaining at the top of your head. Kriya proper means God is inhaling breath through your nose from the top and you are offering your coccygeal center to God. In the second breath you are offering your sacral center to God. Then the third breath is taken by God and you are offering your lumbar center to God. You are offering your heart center to God on the top, and so on.
You require two things: kri and ya. Kri is work going on in the lower centers, and that work is done by the top, the upper center. You should give it insight. It is very important. It is the essence of the real truth of Kriya Yoga.

Your heart center is not in your heart. Heart failure means soul failure. You should offer your heart to God. You should offer your everything to God. In scripture it is written:

debare brahmano vidu

You know Brahma in two steps. One is ya, which is remaining on the top and observing that work is going on. You are earning money: that is kri. People are enjoying sexually: that is kri. Enjoyment is coming from the top: ya. Kri means you do your work from morning until you go to bed, but that work is done by ya: God, your Soul. He is inhaling breath from the top. If God does not inhale breath from the top, you cannot earn money, you cannot enjoy. To earn money is kri, work, and that work is coming from ya, the Soul, the Spirit.

Jesus said, "Your liberation is in your hand. You are not to go to the grave to earn it. Your divine kingdom is within you. Your aim is within you; that is your life."
You are westerners. You are getting extreme wealth. You require pleasure of the senses. You require a car, good houses, free mixing of the sexes and sense enjoyment. That is good. Along with this, you are to meditate. Your peace is your birthright. Though you have everything, if you ask your conscience, you will normally find that you have frustration, unhappiness, unpleasantness, sorrow, ups and down, pitfalls. You are engrossed in your five sense organs. Your five sense organs are your enemies. They are all pulling you down. You are enjoying just like animal beings.

ahara nidra vaya maithunanch samanametat pasuve naranam

"Animal beings are also enjoying—eating, sleeping, quarreling and giving birth to offsprings. You are also doing the same."

God was alone. He was not happy. Why did he descend? Why did he say, "I will be many?" Only for divine joy. If you will keep your attention at the seat of God when you are getting sexual enjoyment, then that enjoyment will be the divine bliss - not like animal pleasure.

A dead man has no appetite. The appetite is from the brain where the power of God is remaining. In food grains, also, the power of God is remaining. God is all-pervading. He is in every food stuff. A dead man cannot eat food. You are eating food. That is kri, and you are not eating food. The power of God is eating the food through you. Food is the first God. If you cannot take food, you cannot get energy, you cannot get life, you cannot get brain power, you cannot get anything.

Food is the living power of God. You are getting the taste of the food. That taste is not in the food. If you give one fruit in the mouth of a dead man, he cannot say whether it is sweet or sour. The taste is given by the power of God: ya. Anger, pride, sweetness, love - everything is coming from God. This is Kriya. If you can remain in the top, if you can practice it, you will get constant liberation.

Now, I am telling you that Kriya Yoga is based on deep, long, scientific breath. You require five-thousand gallons of oxygen daily. But you are not getting that oxygen. The breath control is the self-control. By the practice of Kriya you get deep, long, scientific breath. Even when you are sleeping you are taking deep, long breaths. In this way you are taking breath for seven to eight hours in the night. Because you are taking deep, long, scientific breaths during the time of sleep, you have no thought, no intellect, no sex sense, no sorrow, no pain. You are only sleeping. If you do not prepare your field like that, your meditation cannot give you peace.
By the practice of Kriya Yoga you should take this type of breath. But you should know it from a teacher.

saile saile na manikyam chandanam na bane bane

"There are many hills, but in every hill you will not get the diamond. There are many forests, but in every forest you will not get the sandal tree." There are many monks, but the real realized monk, who has penetrated the veil of nature's splendors, who is free from all body senses, worldly attachments, who has achieved thorough introvert stage, and those who have penetrated the veil of all religions, are very rare. In many religions there are flaws. The real realized yogis, who has perceived the super-conscious stage and cosmic consciousness, can infuse that power. I am telling that we are purifying the fifty body parts of every human being who is taking yoga initiation.

You are remaining in the lower center. By the practice of Kriya Yoga you can lift up the whole power from the lower centers to the upper center, the Christ center. Within four to five minutes' time you can magnetize your whole body and you can really get calmness, divine sound, divine vibration in the whole body and divine light in the whole body. We are lifting up the power to the top, and we are giving divine sound, light, vibration in four to five minutes' time. It is a simple technique.

God brought the ultimate mystery of yoga and Kriya Yoga with His creation. What is yoga? It is the union of the gross body form with the formless body. Some thousands and thousands of years ago God brought that yoga technique in the era of truth - satya yuga. At that time there was no Rama, no Krishna, no Durga, no Kali, no Jesus, no Moses, no David, no Abraham, no Mohammed, no Shankar, no Buddha. There were no spiritual books—no Veda, no Upanishad, no Patanjali, no Bible, no Koran. They were only withdrawing their senses from the lower center to the upper center. Even the boys of five, six up to the old people were only practicing the technique for ten minutes. They were all getting purity, perfection, peace, sweetness, even constant liberation. They were feeling that without God there was nothing.

Nowadays the religions are just only religious plays, dogmatic views, fanatic ideas, suggestions, speculations, imaginations, hallucinations, magic. You all are busy with this. You are leaving your own religion. It is written in the Bhagavat-gita, third Chapter, 35th verse and eighteenth Chapter, 47th verse that "everyone should remain with his own religion. If they accept the religion of other persons it is dangerous for them. They will not get the Truth."

Every religion teaches the formless. The ultimate goal of all religions is the formless. That formless cannot be perceived by talk, by sight, by hearing sound. Many are chanting, singing, dancing, playing, jointly and loudly chanting, as if God is deaf. God is all-pervading. He is within you. Without Him you cannot talk. Now there is extreme corruption in religions. In Bhagavad-gita, fourth Chapter, seventh verse it is said:

yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata

"When there is extreme defect and religious play in religions, God sends a real realized yogi who teaches the real Truth." You see that Babaji was born and taught the technique of Kriya Yoga.

ananta param akhita sabda sashtram

"There are many spiritual books - millions." Many teachers. But our life is very short, our difficulties are many. In the scriptures it is said:

yat sara bhutam tat grahitabyam

"That which is the essence of all religions should be received." Kriya Yoga is the shortest and the simplest technique. By the scientific technique of Kriya Yoga you get simultaneous development of body, mind, intellect and soul. It not only gives you God-realization, but also a sound, beautiful lustrous body, sound brain, sound memory and good education. Also, you will be able to earn more money. At the same time, through your every work, you feel that the power of God is activating through your body.

Kriya Yoga is not Hinduism. It is non-sectarian. It is real transcendental meditation. What do we mean by transcendental? Transcendental means that which you cannot express by talk, sight, sound or by your five sense organs. Formless and transcendental wisdom cannot be perceived by the sense organs. It can be perceived by the atom, just where the power of God is remaining.

You are all religious, all chanting and doing many things, but you are not getting the purity and perfection because your spiritual field is not ready. If you do not cultivate the land and sow seeds on the ground, you cannot expect any harvest.

First, you have to magnetize your spine. Inside the spine your whole astrology is remaining. We know the cosmic astrology. By the technique you can avoid all the bad influences of stars and planets. There are 6 months descending and 6 ascending -12 months inside the spine. In one breath you are completing the meditation of 1 year.

If you practice Kriya Yoga with love, you will slowly get all-round development. You will get a beautiful, lustrous body your whole life. I am eighty-five years old. I am doing Kriya. See my body? I am doing hard work the whole day. I am taking students every day. By the practice of the technique your brain power will increase. Memory will be sharp. You will get receptivity. You can do your work nicely. This is the panacea for all diseases. By the technique you can offer your body to God, your heart to God, even your six centers to God. You are the power of God. You will feel that you are the children of God. Through your activities you will feel God is so kind. You will be realized - avadit satyam asti.

You are spending huge money for your family, your pleasure of senses, cinema, dress, and for everything. But if you take this precious technique, thousands of dollars will not be worth it, because immediately you will get the power. That is real saktipat. Your whole life that will remain permanent. Only you are to practice it sincerely. The opportunity must not be neglected for it may never return. It is a golden opportunity. I have brought the original technique of Sri Yukteswarji, Lahiri Baba, Babaji. Immediately, you will get that power within 2 minutes' time.

You are only born for God-realization. I tell you: Asurya namo ta lokah. If you do not seek the Soul, the God, in your day-to-day life, it is death to you. To seek God is to get the power of God. You are the living power of God. Feel that you are the living power of God. Peace is your birthright. This is the time to earn God - no question of age. With this I bow to every human being for they are the living power of God.

AUMChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-31250375306904435312008-07-15T14:09:00.000-07:002008-07-15T14:10:09.375-07:00Letter from Pajamahamsa Hariharananda to Suresh and Niva KodolikarWritten March 11, 1982, from Karar Ashram, Furi, India.

My Most Affectionate and Divine Parents!

I hope you both and all are well. I am ok. Baba, on the 22nd of March there is an annual anniversary in Puri Ashram. I am very busy preparing for it. Please write me in Puri.

Baba, every day I remember you both. Please meditate deeply, and in every moment you both feel that you are the living power of God. So act like God, talk like God, be perfect like God. You all are born to perceive and realize this only. It is not that you just read the Bible, go to church once, and then your divine duty is finished. I will surely say that you should read the Bible and apply the instruction of the Bible in your daily life. I will also say that you must go to church and you should always ask your conscience whether you feel that God dwelleth in you all. If you all don't feel this and lead life like ordinary worldly people, then you will surely feel you all are only for mad religious person, and Truth is v-e-r-y far from you.

I say that Kriya Yoga is the stepping stone of all religions. It cultivates the fallow spiritual land of all persons of all religions. So I request you all to practice kriya daily, sincerely, whole-heartedly with deepest love. Love God. If there is no love, then kriya will not give you constant awareness of the inner self. Then you are an ordinary human being. But if you get awareness constantly, then surely in every moment you will get kaivalya-tnukti, which means constant liberation. Please read this letter in the meeting every day before you all sit for meditation.

My affectionate soul, my father, Suresh Baba, please inform all there of my deepest affection. Tell Niva Ma to meditate deeply and be realized, because she is to initiate the ladies and, Suresh Baba, you will initiate the gents. You will go with me to America. First I will give divine power, then you will initiate.

You all take my deepest affection and enjoy the blessings of God and Gurus.

Yours,

HariharanandaChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-68008221558074611562008-07-15T14:06:00.000-07:002008-07-15T14:08:07.646-07:00New Life in Your New Year's DayBy Paramahamsa Hariharananda In Your News Year's Day, make your new life.
Please come see, taste and be.

We all are born from the mother's womb. We all are brought up and educated by the affection and help of our parents. Many are not educated and cultured. Many are millionaires. Many have multi-storied buildings. Many are scientists, doctors, engineers, inventing and discovering many things. That is good. Many are business people. Many are thieves, plunderers, smugglers, murderers. Many are poor, many are beggars, many are debauchers, many are drug addicts. In every new year they are all growing in numbers and engrossed in more temptation. But time and tide wait for no man. Once they go, they will never return.

In the Bible, Genesis 1:27 and 2:7, it is written that God made man and woman in His own image and breathed into the nostrils the breath of life, and He became the living Soul in the whole universe. Therefore, whoever we may be, we are the living power of God, but we have forgotten this Truth.

The day we are born the living power of God that is our Soul is inhaling through our nostrils. It is why we all are alive. The power of God loves us very deeply. He is inhaling and exhaling 18 times every minute. If He does not inhale, then we are not rich, poor, educated or anything. We all will be dead bodies.
Thus breath is The principal attribute of all human beings. We are working and doing everything in the in the world with 2 bodies. One is our gross body, ham, and the other is our causal body, sa, or Soul, Who is constantly inhaling through our nostrils. Therefore, God-realization is our birthright and a must for all human beings.

In the Bible Jesus said: You are all born of the flesh. You are to be born again from above through water and spirit. (John 3:5) Water means love for God because He is our life and He is our source of all joy.

Breath is the sweetest thing of our life. Any type of joy we are getting is from the breath, so we should realize God with breath. Breath control is self-control, breath mastery is self-mastery, breathlessness stage is selflessness stage.

Now I am writing what Jesus said about spirit. What is spirit? Spirit is the marvelous power of God, Who is hiding inside our cranium in the Kingdom of God on the North. We should only keep our attention on the North where He is present.
In each human being there is extreme greed, ego, pride, delusion, illusion and endless desire for the extrovert stages. People are extremely busy with money, money, money. That is good, but along with this they should earn spiritual money. Otherwise, the gold cankers pangs of vice. Money can be stolen by thieves, relatives can divide it after death. Even the government will take a share of it. But spiritual money cannot be stolen. Relatives cannot take any part of it. And if you teach spiritual wealth, it will not decrease; it will increase. The general masses of the world do not meditate, so their lives are not fulfilled. They are eating the Skin of the banana and throwing the banana on the street.

Now I am telling about meditation. In the name of God many have started religious businesses. In the Bible, Matthew 7:15-19, it is written: 'There are many prophets who are in sheeps' clothing and they are hiding so many wolves in them, so you should know them by their fruit. If you see that the fruit is bad, then you cut the tree and burn it in the fire."

Many have taken initiation and are doing many things, but when they sit for meditation they are getting many thoughts - anger, sorrow, etc. This is not meditation. Meditation means to be free from mind, thought, body sense and world sense.

The authentic and original technique of Babaji, Lahiri Mahasay, Sri Yukteswarji, Sanyal Mahasay, Swami Satyanandaji, Panchanan Bhattacharya Mahasay did not previously reach the foreign countries. It is a marvellous technique, which has been brought by an old realized yogi, Paramahamsa Hariharananda. He is 85 years old, and his realized disciple, Swami Atmananda Giri, is 54 years old. This authentic, original Kriya Yoga technique is for the whole world—for people of any status. It is so powerful a technique that, like a fax machine, within 3 minutes' time, Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Swami Atmananda Giri can remove all their negatives and infuse the 3 divine qualities. Immediately they can give spontaneous divine sound, light and vibration.

No one can touch the formless power of God, but by the second technique all disciples can immediately realize the living movement sensation of the formless in the whole body, for it cannot be perceived by reading, by talking or by chanting. Wisdom can only be realized by the atom. That atom is hiding in the North, which means inside the head of every human being. We are in spiritual darkness; by the practice of this technique we get spiritual light in the whole system.

As a pitcher of water is remaining in the room, if you bend the pitcher and put the mouth of the pitcher on the ground, then all the water of the pitcher will spill out. Similarly, we are purifying all negatives of the body. We take each individual and infuse our divine power in the body of the devotee, those who have the deepest desire for God-realization. We demonstrate this in the open meeting after the lecture.
Yogo karmashu kaushalam means that as the technique by which a helicopter comes up from the ground and by which we are talking through the phone over a long distance, so the Kriya Yoga technique is a scientific technique. It gives simultaneous development of mind, health, talent and soul.

Every religion teaches how to get God-realization, but Kriya Yoga also teaches how to get sound liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, health and well-being in the whole system.

Rich people, scientists, lawyers, and judges, lead sedentary lives, sitting almost all the time as they earn immense wealth. At the same time, they're spending their money only to damage their bodies. Many are drinking liquor, taking drugs, and accumulating excess fat. They are enjoying sexually in the extreme. When they're home, they are just sitting and watching television, or they are straining themselves by overindulging in theater, dancing and other varieties of amusement. Through these activities their vitality decreases and they get many diseases. They get heart trouble, sudden heart failure, and they die early. The second technique of Kriya Yoga will enable all human beings to cultivate their body land and get sufficient circulation in their body and even in the brain.
The human constitution is only for God realization. The human spine is straight, while the spine of animals is not. Inside the cerebral cortex marvellous divine power is stored. Also, in the frontal lobe of our forehead is the power of rationality and divinity. But all educated persons, being rational, they think God-realization is not required and that it is very difficult. The power of God is remaining in the whole system. You are to just search for Him inside your whole system.

Right now your whole body is extrovert. Below the medulla oblongata are 2 holes, the anterior and posterior nuclei. The 2 vagus nerves take origin from that place. Also, from that place the 12 cranial nerves are flowing in the whole system of the human being. That is why they are in delusion, illusion and error. No one has any control over the cranial nerves. Only the realized monks, those who have attained the pulselessness stage, they have the power and they can infuse that power to all human beings who have the desire for God-realization.

In the New Year's Day make your new life. Please come, see, taste and be.
From our infancy whatever we have learned is stored in our mid-brain - in the thalamus and hypothalamus. Even the obscene word your have learned is still remaining in your mid-brain. All these past thoughts disturb you in your meditation. Therefore, when many people are sitting for meditation, even the thoughts from infancy appear. It is not God-realization.

On the right side of the cerebrum above the right ear the power of God is giving thoughts. It is a very dangerous place, so immediately people become attracted, allured, forgetting their own Truth, and they commit many nuisances. Even anger, pride, ego are coming from that place. By the practice of the first technique, people will achieve thorough control over their 5 sense organs. These 5 sense organs are their enemy. They can control this with the Truth.

What is Truth? The living power of God, Who is remaining within, He is always giving temptations. All these temptations are coming from the power of God. It is why Jesus said, "You are to be born again from above through water and spirit" (John 3:5). In the Kena Upanishad it is said: Iha cheat abadit shatyam ostty. This means that if you know your own self just now, it is younger. Sri Yukteswarji said there is no question of age. This is the time to earn God, so in the New Year’s life you make yourself new. Anytime you touch the bare electric wire you will get that current immediately in your whole system.

Kriya Yoga is practical and mathematical. It is scientific. The marvellous power of God is remaining in our skin, flesh, bone, blood, artery, tissue, cells, diaphragm, atoms - in the whole system. Where is He not? Each human being is a little world. Who is remaining in the world? God only. Who is remaining in the body world? God only. Until people know their own Self, their human life is useless. Human being is sub-human being. It is written in the Katha Upanishad 2:12-13: "We all are born for God-realization. If we don't get God-realization, then we are the animal grade of human being."

Now I am telling about Kriya Yoga. The word kri + ya means work as worship. Any work you are doing that is kri and that work is done by breath, your indwelling Self, which is ya. Kriya Yoga is your practical life. Without God you cannot do any work, but you should avoid all negatives. The top-grade murderer Ratnakar left his habit and sat for God-realization, by the power of Guru, and became the well-known realized person of the world, Valmiki. He proved what is written in the Bible, Psalms 46:10: "Be still and know you are God." He became still, calm; his body became covered with a nest of white ants, and he became God-realized.

I humbly request that all persons leave all negatives in the New Year. They should shun them and become divine. In the restaurant there is a huge amount of food, but your stomach is limited. If you could cat all the food, surely they would give it to you. But where is your accommodation in the stomach. Why are you so ambitious? Your stomach is limited. Why shouldn't your ambition be limited? Why shouldn't you absorb yourself in God? Your food is only for God-realization. Your wife, your wealth is only for your God-realization.

Mary Magdalene was a debauch, and she became honored in the whole western world. Why shouldn't you all shun your negative qualities and seek Him through your every breath. The living power of God is all in all to you. He is your servant, he is serving you all day and night, so through your every action you watch ya—that He is serving you day and night.

Kriya Yoga is the easiest, simplest, surest, quickest technique. There is no hardship. It is non-sectarian. You are not to shout, to chant, to read, to dance. Only one ounce of practice in the silent stage and you will feel that you are not you. You are the real you. You will only feel as if it is your physical death and spiritual aliveness. You will get moderation. Your love will flourish. Bond between friends will become stronger. It imparts skill. You'll learn how to talk, how to behave with others. It gives success in life. You'll get instant joy. If you do not prepare your field, if you do not cultivate your body land, then everything is religious play to you.

In the New Year's Day, you prepare your spiritual field. If you only sit for 5 minutes, then the whole night and day you'll feel you are not doing anything. You cannot do anything. Anything you are doing, it is done by 2 bodies. The union of 2 bodies is yoga. If you practice this, then you will feel any work you are doing that is done by ya, your indwelling Self, the Soul. You will remain in the material world, you will remain in your work. You will get joy. You will feel that He is working through you.
There are no restrictions. The pure life you are living, that is your life for God-realization. But your food must be according to your

digestive power. Your drink will be according to your sound health. Your work must be limited. In Bhagavad-gita, Sixth Chapter 17th verse and 17th Chapter, 8th verse, it is written about good food and how to get good rest for long life.
I humbly request all human beings of the universe to know that they are God in human being. In the New Year's Day, if they want to lead a new divine life, they should come to the direct touch of the realized master, the world teacher, known by the whole world. He personally takes each human being, purifies and infuses divineness in the whole system. It is a rare opportunity, so this opportunity must not be neglected for it may never come again.
You should remain silent by reading this article, because you are God in human being and you should realize it, so come, taste, and be realized.

AUMChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-7449692068630452052008-07-14T15:39:00.000-07:002008-07-14T15:42:47.454-07:00Bhagavad Gita - chapter 1, verse 1Chapter 1, Verse 1 ARJUNA VISHADA YOGA YOGA OF DEJECTION

Dhrtarasta uvaca
Dharmakshetre kurukshetre samaveta yuyutsavah Mamakah pandavascaiva kimakurvata sanjaya

1. Dhritarastra said, "Oh, Sanjaya! When my people and the Fandavas assembled to fight in the sacred field of Kurukstetra, what did they do?"

Dhritarastra is the king of the KURUS. But symbolically the name means one who is protector, savior and preserver of our body-kingdom. Now, the question is, who is the actual savior of our body-kingdom? The answer is, it is the Soul (Krishna) who constantly inhales through the nose of every human being. He is the savior, receiver and protector of our body-kingdom. But every human being does not feel that Soul is our sole doer. So every being is blind to seeking Soul. Dhritarastra was a blind king, because he was after the material world. He had no judgment and knowledge. He could have easily prevented the battle, but due to his ignorance, he was in darkness.

Our spinal canal is our KURUKSHETRA. Kuru means you always do this and that work and are absorbed in it. Inside our spinal canal there are five work fields. The first four are: the coccygeal, which is the money center; the sacral, the sex center; the lumbar (navel), the food-center; and the dorsal, the many-types-of-negative-thoughts center, such as anger, greediness and suspicion. These four centers are mostly biological centers. There, people are engrossed in money, sex, food, pride, doubt and friction. These types of activities do not allow human beings to attain divineness, because they are always engrossed in their body senses, the fifth center is the vacuum center. People who cannot withdraw their mind from the lower centers cannot perceive super conscious stage. These five centers are our KURUKSHETRA.

In DHARMAKSHETRA, there are two words, DHARMA and KSHETRA. DHARMA comes from DHRI, which means the power of receptivity, and MON, which means the power of God and Soul, we are all alive. KSHETRA means place. DHARMAKSHETRA means where our living Soul remains.

In the scriptures, it is said: ATRA TISTA DASH ANGLAM, which means the Soul remains inside the cranium, 10 fingers above our eyebrows. If you place four fingers of your left hand on your forehead, starring between your eyebrows, then place four fingers of your right hand above them, and then again, two fingers of your left hand, you have place 10 fingers over your eyebrows. There you will find a hole, the fontanel, which is called the divine goal. Most probably you have seen that every baby has a soft spot in the middle of the scalp. This the place into which the power of God enters into every human baby. It is called SAHASRARA-PADMA, which means the thousand petal lotus-God gives a thousand types of thoughts to every human-being. If you penetrate down from the fontanelle, you will find the interior and posterior pituitary 10 fingers directly below. That is the junction of our five sense-telephones and the seven-crossings of our life, which is DHARMA-KSHETRA. Our two vagus nerves and the 10th cranium start from the same center, and our motor and sensory nerves also function from that place.

If you can withdraw your senses from the five lower centers inside the spinal canal, which is KURUKSHETRA, and penetrate your attention above the cranium, which is DHARMAKSHETRA, you can withdraw knowledge from ignorance, honesty from dishonesty, immortality from mortality. Then, you can get the psychological force that remains inside the cranium.

The seven-crossings is the junction in our head of lines joining seven points. It is the intersection of lines between the fontanelle and coccygeal centers. The seventh is the path air travels as we inhale through our mouth and draw it up to the pituitary, with the breath giving a cold sensation on our uvula. Jesus said you are to be born from above, that means, above the seventh cross.

Dronacharjya, the guru of pandavas and Kuravas, could not be killed until somebody shot an arrow through his throat that crossed the seventh junction. Dronacharjya means a person of fickleness. Until we come up above the seventh cross, our fickleness will not die or disappear. If our fickleness doesn't disappear, we cannot get God—realization. Until we cross the seventh junction, our human stage will not disappear and we cannot attain God.

Although there was actually a fight on Kurukshetra between the Kauravas and Pandavas, metaphorically the fight is between relatives or human beings; it is a fight between evil and good in every human being. The evil qualities of a human being are related to his body, as are the good qualities. But good and evil qualities cannot exist without Soul (Krishna), so Krishna is mediator of the good and bad qualities in every human being.

Our ignorance is darkness and our knowledge is light. KURU-PAKSHA is our ignorance, and Pandava is our light. If there is a fight between light and darkness, who will win? An example will illustrate. If you enter a dark room and turn on the light switch, immediately the darkness will disappear and be converted into light. So, darkness (ignorance) will surely be defeated by light (knowledge).

Now inside our body, there is a blind king like Dhritarastra. We are always in darknes. It was known to Dhritarastra that the people of Kaurava (ignorance) would surely be defeated by the Pandavas (knowledge). Yet, he asked Sanjaya, when the two parties assebled together in the sacred field Kurukshetra, what did they do?

All human beings are born for Self-realization. So we will also get a realized guru, like Sri Krishna, who will always guide, conduct, instruct and lead us to the divine goal. But now, we are all engrossed and absorbed in the biological force, and we re in delusion, illusion and error. So we are not getting the peace which comes from remaining in God. But the day will surely come when our ignorance (darkness) will disappear, and we will get virtuous inclination and reach the divine goal: formless-stage, liberation and Self-realization.

When God first created human beings, we were like savages and brutes. We did not know how to wear clothes, how to lie down on nice beds, how to eat food, or how to behave. Gradually, we have advanced and learned many things. Though starting with little education, we now are extremely advanced scientifically; we are doing many things. Although we have no foresight like Sanjaya, we scientifically see things which come from a long distance with television. Sanjaya was able to hear sounds or see sights from long distances. Through telephone and television, you can scientifically talk and hear the exact voice of your friends and relatives between America and India. So, we are all advancing scientifically towards the divine goal.

If you practice the scientific technique of Kriya Yoga, as written in the Bhagavad Gita, 6th chapter, llth and 12th verses, you can perceive Self within a very short time. Because we are the children of God, we have the potential for purity, love and perfection. So, the purity and perfection which are in God always remains inside our cranium and in the pituitary. Therefore, your spirituality, divineness and liberation are always in your hands. If you meditate, surely you will perceive God. Jesus also said, you are all remaining in the lower centers and not perceiving God. If you come above, into the pituitary, you can perceive God.Christopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-44460142103418148952008-07-14T15:36:00.000-07:002008-07-14T15:38:08.203-07:00A Message from Swarni Hariharananda GiriAUM

Soul culture means to cultivate the body land, only to get the spiritual harvest. God-realization is our birth right. We have three bodies. The Causal body is "A"; the Astral body is "U"; and the gross body is "M". So the union of the three bodies A+U+M = OM.

By the practice of Kriya Yoga (that is soul culture) we can constantly feel we are not human being, we are God in human being and we are three in one body:

TRAY A A, KA-TRA SAN JA-MA 1+1+1 = 1

Any work we are doing that is called "kri". That work is done by the YAA, which means your soul (Mother nature) "U". This Kriya Yoga technique will give soul culture.

Our body is full of extrovert stages, and our Mother nature is the conductor of extrovert and introvert stages. Mother nature is always trying to help human beings progress towards truth and light. Mother nature is always in union with Father nature. As unlimited volts (almighty Father nature) is always connected with the 110 volts which is Mother nature "U". That Mother nature is giving illumination to the human body bulbs "M". So by the practice of soul culture, darkness (ignorance) will disappear and light will come. One day, body will feel without 110 volt (Mother nature) soul, we are nothing. Soul is everything. Then surely each human being, however rich or poor, will feel, soul culture is our real education. And we all will know we are not rational beings, we are all the living power of God. We all are divine beings. We all are God in human being.

The Creator has created the whole universe only for our soul culture. So soul culture is a must.

The 18th Century poet, Alexander Pope, said, "Know thyself, presume not God to scan. The best study of mankind is man."

This is soul culture. If you only practice 5 minutes, you will feel divine current in your 108 body parts. This is Kriya Yoga; this is soul culture.

I want to bow to one Heavenly Father Who is all-pervading, which means. Who is remaining in every human being and everywhere.

-Swami Hariharananda GiriChristopher Mark Perezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03547095949481024502noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-576079993833804039.post-72538257806940122682008-07-14T14:52:00.000-07:002008-07-16T09:40:56.354-07:00A Christmas StoryBy Swami Hariharananda Giri

I want to bow to all people. God bless you all. I bow to one Heavenly Father of all religions. I bow to God, I bow to the Son of God, I bow to the children of God, I bow to saints and sages of all religions. I bow to Moses, Daniel and Abraham. I bow to all advanced people of the universe. I even want to bow to Hariharananda with deepest love. I am telling a short-cut life of Jesus because Jesus is the topmost spiritual person in the world.

My respected souls, in Bhagavad-gita, fourth chapter, seventh verse, it is written:

yada yada hi dharmasya gianirbhavata bharata abhyutthanamadharmasya
tadatmanam srjamyaham

"When there is extreme corruption in the spirituality of the world, then God sends His messenger to the universe to remove the corruption and to establish Godhood and spirituality." When Jesus was born it was the Kali Yuga, the Age of Darkness. There were no roads, no electricity. Nothing.

In ancient times almost all girls were virgins. There was a teenage girl named Mother Mary, who lived in Bethlehem. She was a virgin and a spiritual girl. One day God sent the angel Gabriel to her. He appeared before Mother Mary and told her, "God sent me to tell you that God the Son will come into your womb without any sex joy. You will be the mother of the Son of God. You are fortunate, but you will get into trouble for conceiving the Son of God. It is not actually trouble; it is really a joy. His name will be Jesus, the Savior."

Mother Mary was extremely happy to hear this. She sat calmly, got a warm sensation in her body and understood what to do. Mary thought, "I am to go to my Auntie, Elizabeth, who lives far away, and tell her what the angel told me, because Elizabeth is a divine lady, a spiritual woman, Elizabeth, and her husband, Zacharias, are very old, but at the age of 62 or 72 Elizabeth conceived a child without sex joy."

So Mother Mary ran and ran up the high hills of Judah and reached the town where Elizabeth lived. Elizabeth was six months' pregnant with a divine child whose name would be John the Baptist. Mother Mary told Elizabeth in detail how God had sent the angel Gabriel to her. "The angel told me that God the Son will come into my womb and not by sex pleasure. I am so happy. But how is it possible?" Elizabeth was very happy at the news. Elizabeth, who was lying down, sat up and told Mother Mary, "Come here and sit down next to me." Then she touched the head of Mother Mary. The moment she touched her head Mary saw the illumination and the whole room was full of light. She was spellbound and found divineness within her, as if the power of God had entered into her. Then she was lying down on the floor in a state of joy. After ten minutes, she looked at her auntie and said, "Oh, I conceived a divine baby. The angel said that his name will be Jesus." She was very happy and stayed with Elizabeth for three months. Then she went to the home of Joseph, the man she was to marry.

Joseph was a distant relative of King Herod, who was a very bad king, a boastful man, full of pride and ego. Joseph, a spiritual man, thought, "I will leave this place with Mary and go to Bethlehem." They went to Bethlehem and stayed near the house of Mother Mary's family. Mother Mary told her parents that God had sent the angel Gabriel to her. "Gabriel told me that I will be the mother of the Son of God and his name will be Jesus. Then I went to Auntie and she blessed me. When she blessed me, I got the divine illumination and I conceived a baby." At first they disbelieved, but after a while they believed her.

In due course of time Mother Mary became fully conceived. Joseph and Mary were roaming around Bethlehem trying to find a place for her to give birth. Joseph tried to get a room at the inn, but he couldn't because they had no money. They couldn't find a place anywhere. Then Joseph brought her to the stable manger where the horses are fed. They were given fresh grass, which they covered with a cloth, and there Mother Mary gave birth to the child. It was noontime and it was drizzling. They heard the divine sound coming from a long distance. The stars came down to the Earth below, and the whole room became full of light because the Son of God, Jesus, was born in the manger. He's the manger child.

Two spiritual men, one of the East and one of the West, also saw that in this auspicious moment the King of Kings was born in that place where the stars came down to Earth. They saw the stars and divine flowers falling down from Heaven. The two religious men went to King Herod and told him, "The King of Kings has been born nearby Do you know where?" Herod said, "No, I am the king." They said, "No, he is the King of Kings, a divine person, the Son of God. We are going to search for him." Then Herod said, "You find him, then come back and tell me where he is.." The two spiritual men thought, "This king is a very bad man. He will probably kill the child, so we will not tell him where the child is."

When they found the child, they saw the illumination in him. On the eighth day a ceremony took place.* Many children came and gave Jesus sweets, chocolates and everything they could. Everyone worshipped the divine child. The two religious persons also gave many gifts, then they left for their own countries, but they did not go to Herod. Herod, however, found out that the King of Kings, a divine child, was born in Bethlehem. He sent many cavalry soldiers there with the order to kill all the children under two years old.

An angel came from heaven and told Mother Mary, "Leave this place immediately or your son will be killed!" So Mother Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt- Herod's soldiers killed all the young children of Bethlehem, but they did not find Jesus. The power of God cannot be killed. God is God. He is all-pervading. No one can kill God. No one can cut God. No one can burn God. No one can dent God. And Jesus, the Son of God, he cannot be killed.

When Herod died, Mother Mary and Joseph took Jesus and returned to Nazareth. Jesus grew and was brought up very nicely. From his infancy he cured many persons and he gave many spiritual talks on liberation. When he became old enough, he worked with his father, Joseph, who was a carpenter. Jesus had very little education, but by the time he was twelve years old, he was spreading the message of God.
When Jesus was eleven, the son of Elizabeth, John the Baptist, came to him and said, "Come with me and I will initiate you." They went to the sea where John the Baptist poured water on Jesus' head and cleaned his body and baptized him. It was drizzling. Many drops fell over the body and over the head of Jesus. Divine light also flashed over the body of Jesus. When the baptism was finished, Jesus then baptized John the Baptist. Afterward, they went up into a cave in the high hills where John sat calmly and fixed his attention in the pituitary and taught Jesus to meditate. Jesus meditated for two years. After that he heard divine sound, saw the divine light, and felt the vibration and was extremely happy because he had gained that.

At the age of twelve, Jesus left and nobody knows where he was for eighteen years. It is my conception that Jesus was in seclusion. He was...

"When the eighth day came and the Child was to be circumcised,
they gave Him the name Jesus,
the name the angel had given Him before conception"... Luke 2:21

...hiding himself, as Buddha was hiding himself and as the five Pandava brothers were hiding themselves in the jungle. No one found them. Similarly, Jesus was hiding himself, meditating very deeply and keeping in direct touch with God to get direct lessons from God. In this way, Jesus became highly realized.
At the age of thirty Jesus came back to Bethlehem. He was sweet, kind, and loving and he spread the message to everybody. Jesus traveled from country to country, healed people and taught humanity about love. John the Baptist also spread the message, even in the place of his enemies, so they killed him. Jesus wasn't afraid and continued to spread the message of love and forgiveness.

For example, he met a woman who was a prostitute. Her name was Mary Magdalene. Jesus said to her, "Why don't you stop doing these bad things and fix your attention on the soul?" She left her old life and sat for meditation. So Jesus said, "However perverted or wicked a person may be, if he meditates, then surely he will be divine." He said that if you give money or help to the poor, then God will give you everything. "A camel can penetrate inside the eye of the needle, while those who are rich cannot go to God. Until you love mankind, God cannot love you. Therefore, the rich should offer their money to needy persons and they should also seek God and meditate daily." Several persons were throwing many stones at a woman who was wicked. Jesus asked them why they were throwing stones. They said, "She's a very bad woman, so we will kill her!" Jesus said, "If all of you have no bad qualities, then pick up the stones and kill her. But if you have bad qualities, then you should not pick up the stones and throw them at her." Then all the people stopped and left.

Jesus had twelve disciples. Peter was one of them. He was a fisherman. He was also a very bad man, a scoundrel, a thief who beat so many persons. Jesus corrected Peter, brought him along with him and told him everything. Then Peter was extremely divine. Jesus' disciples were always being instructed by him, and they spread the message of Christianity wherever they went. Sometimes Jesus went by camel's back, sometimes he walked. In this way, Jesus passed the days for three years. The king in Jerusalem came to hear of Jesus and wanted to see him. He thought, "I killed John the Baptist. Who is this person?" Jesus decided to go to Jerusalem. He walked and thousands walked with him. He cured many sick and fed all the thousands of people when they became hungry.

In Jerusalem he spread the message of Christianity. The king and priests and many of the people there were unhappy with Jesus and wanted to kill him. It was a holiday* and Jesus feasted with his disciples. When they finished their food and were lying down, Jesus said, "I have an enemy in this room who will betray me. Tonight the enemy soldiers will come and arrest me." After twelve o'clock all the disciples were unable to sleep trying to protect Jesus. Peter, a very big man, clasped Jesus to him, his sword next to him. When the enemy and their soldiers entered, Judas stood and pointed, 'This is Jesus," A solder pulled Jesus up. Peter stood up, took his sword, and with one blow cut off the soldier's ear. Jesus said only, "You shouldn't do this. You should keep your sword inside the sheath." Jesus did not say anything else because he was carefree. He did not fear death. He did not fear anything.

So Jesus was arrested. At his trial the judge said that Jesus could not be crucified because he committed no crime. But the enemy wanted to crucify him. They forcibly took Jesus into a room and tortured him mercilessly. "So you are the King of Kings!" They gave him the cross to carry on his own shoulders. They whipped him with a thorn stick, but Jesus did not shout. In this way they took Jesus up the hill and crucified him. When he was helpless, Jesus said, "Oh, Lord, they do not know what they are doing." While he was hanging on the cross, Jesus said, "Oh, Lord, have you left me?" But the Lord cannot leave the Son of God. As God is immortal, so the Son of God is immortal.

The moment Jesus was crucified, three serious incidents occurred. There was an earthquake, the curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the day became as dark as night and rain poured down, as if the power of God was shedding tears. Many of the enemy then believed that Jesus was the Son of God. Crooked persons are always crooked and some were glad that he was crucified. Many people came to see Jesus on the cross. Mary Magdalene came, Peter and Thomas. They were in extreme grief and fear and they left.

When Jesus was dead, the enemy put his body inside a tomb, shut the door and rolled heavy stones in front of it. Jesus' twelve disciples went to the tomb and took his body. On the third day after the crucifixion Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and found it empty. She came out and saw a person standing by the side of the road, his head covered with a cloth. She asked that person, "Do you know where the body of Jesus is?" The person removed the cloth from his mouth and Mary Magdalene saw Jesus standing there. He said, "Go and tell my disciples that you have seen me."

Mary Magdalene ran to where they were taking a feast and told them that she had seen Jesus.

Jesus reached the place where the disciples were feasting and told them, "I am not dead. I have come back. I am an immortal soul. Thomas is not here, so you tell Thomas. Then go and spread the message of Christianity to the whole world." They went to Thomas, who said, "I don't believe because I saw Jesus dead." The next day Jesus reached Thomas' house and told him, "Please place your finger inside my heart. You'll never see blood. The Son of God cannot die, and the immortal soul cannot die."

This is the real example of Jesus in the world. All other great men and prophets died. But Jesus was the deathless, immortal soul. He proved that he was the Son of God. God is immortal. Similarly, the Son of God is immortal. Then Thomas believed. The feast was finished and, in the presence of all who were there, Jesus gave charge of spreading the message to Peter. 'Take charge of my lambs, my students, and teach all the people of the world." Peter said, "I have no power to do it." Then Jesus said, "No, you have the power. You are the fisherman. Come with me, set the net on the river and you will see that fishes are in the net." Then Jesus said, "Slowly, slowly you pull the net" When he pulled the net and saw that it was full of fish, Peter was convinced and took charge.

Jesus was crucified on May 28 and on June 28 he ascended to Heaven in the presence of all his disciples. They were very unhappy and afraid to spread the message. After one month Jesus returned to again teach them the lesson of Kriya Yoga. He appeared to them and said, "Touch me. See, I am real, just as I was when I was here with you." Then he ascended again to Heaven. The disciples all got the power, and fearlessly traveled throughout the whole world and spread the message of Christianity. Christianity has indeed spread throughout the whole world. Jesus gave many good techniques. He said, "If, therefore, thine eye be single, then your whole body shall be full of light." (Matthew 6:22-23). If you read the Bible, then you can come to know all the instructions that are written in it. Jesus left and his message is still spreading all over the world. Jesus is still immortal.

Jesus was undoubtedly the Son of God. If the followers of Jesus meditate on him and follow his lessons, then they will be divine. It is written in one poem:

"I knew not how the Bethlehem Babe could indeed Godhead be.
I only know the manger child who brought God's tight to me."

On this Christmas Day I am giving my life to Jesus with deepest love. I bow to him a thousand times. He spread the message.

* Passover is one of the most important of the Jewish holidays...
